Those who oppose them and those who do not aid them, will not be able to harm them." (Hadith) QUESTION In the Islamic State (ISIS) Shariah law is being implemented. All forms of shirk and idolatry have been abolished. Women are in full Hijaab. The Islamic hudood punishments are implemented. There is no corruption, There is no music and none of the immoralities of the west. Despite the conspicuously Islamic nature of ISIS, how can it be accepted that it is a U.S. conspiracy? There is no logic in the charge that ISIS is a U.S. creation. ANSWER By this time only simpletons have failed to understand the reality of ISIS, About a century ago, the British had also created a 'caliphate'. namely, the Saudi regime with its harshly 'puritanical' version of the Shariah. ISIS is a replica of the British Saudi 'caliphate' of a century ago. The strictest (in fact distorted) form of the Shariah was introduced and harshly implemented by the Saudi regime. Initially there was full implementation of the Shariah. ISIS is following in the footsteps of the Saudi Wahhaabis in exactitude – that is, the Wahhaabis of a century ago who had introduced and implemented fully the Wahhaabi brand of the Shariah. The harshness of implementation of the Shariah of the British Saudi 'caliphate' of the House of Saud, had brought even Muslims within its scope of takfeer, thus rendering all Muslims other than Wahhaabis, Mubaahud Dam (i.e. lawful for killing). That 'puritanical' (i.e. adulterated and impure) British Saudi 'caliphate' has already perished many decades ago. There is hardly any semblance of the Shariah remaining in Saudi Arabia. The socalled 'emancipation' of women and the adornment of public bill boards and newspapers with pictures of women, which was unthinkable and unimaginable to the patriarchs of the Saudi 'caliphate', are adequate confirmation for the large scale disappearance of Islam from Saudi life. Just as Islam is dead in all Muslims lands, so too is Islam dead – killed by the immoral Wahhaabis of this era. Saudi Arabia is firmly and swiftly steaming ahead on the road to full westernization. The West had no objection to the 'puritanical' Shariah of the Saudi regime as long as its strategic and conspiratorial objectives were being served and attained. In fact, the U.S. had initially stated unequivocally that "the Taliban are not anti-West. They are anti -western life style'. As long as the Taliban of Afghanistan could be induced to co-operate with the West in the attainment of its strategic objectives, the U.S. and the West had no objection to any form of harsh implementation of the Shariah. Only when the Taliban could not be manipulated to serve the global objectives of the U.S. did the orthodox Islam of the Taliban become a convenient justification for invading and destroying the country. The West had absolutely no objection to the Wahhaabi brand of the Shariah which the Saudis had introduced. Britain had created Saudi Arabia and the latter had handed the oil wealth of the land on a platter to its creator and master. There is no conundrum and no secret in these facts. History is repeating itself in the Middle East. Now the U.S. has created ISIS to ensure that the Middle East remains within its umbrella of influence and control. Anarchy in the region is currently the best method for serving U.S. interests. There are a myriad of so-called 'jihadi' outfits as well as modernists groups which are operating in the Middle Eastern theatre of strife and anarchy. All these groups are funded, equipped and armed by the U.S. and its satellite Arab states, and also by other western countries. Thus, an entire fleet of brand new bakkies was supplied to ISIS by Australia. The U.S. involvement in the current Middle Eastern chaos is an almost exact replica of its involvement in the Afghan war to expel the then Soviet Union. Just as the Soviet Union was entrapped in Afghanistan so will it increasingly find itself entrapped in the Middle eastern quagmire. Obama's statement that it will take many years to subdue and eliminate ISIS is extremely stupid and shockingly insulting to intelligence. While morons may swallow this inspid stupidity of Obama, people of intelligence simply laugh at the ludicrousness of the assertion. As stupid as it may sound, Obama's statement is by conspiratorial design. The fact is that there is absolutely no intention by the U.S. to eliminate ISIS. After all, ISIS is America's illegitimate child, hence it is being nourished and sustained by the U.S. via the conduit of Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Turkey. To eliminate the Taliban, the U.S. invaded Afghanistan with hundreds of thousand of coalition troops and in a matter of hours the Taliban understanding that discretion is the better part of valour staged a tactical withdrawal from Kabul handing the capital on a platter to the invading kuffaar. The Taliban had understood that since the U.S. with its coalition would unleash a murderous aerial bombardment on Kabul and thousands of civilians – women and children - would be brutally killed, injured and maimed, intelligence therefore dictated a withdrawal. Thus, the U.S. with its barbarians displaced the Taliban and walked into Kabul. During both Gulf wars, the U.S. invaded and unleashed brutal air bombardments against an enemy who was a thousand times superior to ISIS. Sadam Husain's army was a thousand times better equipped and armed. It was superior regular, conventional army. Iraq had adequate sophisticated defences, including an airforce of almost a thousand war planes. Yet, the U.S. unleashed its onslaught, killed and wounded hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and eliminated Saddam Husain and initiated a reign of chaos, mayhem and strife which continues to this day. But, the U.S. today shamelessly asserts its impotency and the impotency of its coalition of European, Arab and Asian states to confront the ISIS outfit which is deprived of the advantageous mountainous covers enjoyed by the Taliban. ISIS has no air force. It moves its columns of fighters across vast open deserts on vehicles provided by the West. Yet, these columns of ISIS vehicles do not come under aerial attack. ISIS has captured a number of oilfield which are constantly pumping oil for the U.S. Turkey, Israel, etc. These oil fields do not come under U.S. attack. How is it possible for ISIS to operate all these captured oilfields without fear of attack? And, why does the U.S. refrain from blasting the pipelines which run for hundreds of miles across desert terrain? Why are the pro-West so-called anti-ISIS Arab Coaltion not blasting these pipelines? Why is the lifeline of Isis's fund's not cut? People of intelligence are not fooled. Morons may be sufficiently gullible for deglutition. If ISIS had not been a cog in America's conspiracy, the U.S. with have long ago decollated it. In relation to the U.S. and its western allies, the ISIS capital of Raqqa is defenceless and exposed. It should be a walkover. Remember Kobane, the Kurd town which the U.S. had utterly devastated and destroyed by means of its murderous aerial bombardment. Although Kobane was a town of the Kurds who are the allies of the U.S., the strategic objectives of the U.S. demanded its destruction. Although the U.S.'s destruction of Kobane was ostensibly to prevent it falling into the hands of ISIS, there remains a huge question mark. The conundrum remains unsolved. The U.S. has already demarcated the boundaries for Kurdistan, Sunnistan and Shiahstan. At times the operations of ISIS may exceed the territorial limitation prescribed by the U.S. as was the case most probably with the attempt by ISIS to take Kobane which according to the American prescription has to remain within Kurdistan. Thus, there was a need for decisive U.S. intervention to ensure that the plot remains on course and is not derailed by any jihadist operation which is counter-productive for the U.S. conspiracy. While the U.S. devastation of Kobane, an important town of its Kurd allies, seems to be anomalous with our theory of ISIS being a U.S. creation, the conundrum is cleared when it is understood that the vast majority of ISIS recruits is not a party to the conspiracy. They are blissfully unaware of the U.S. conspiracy. A handful in the top hierarchy is in cahoots with the U.S. Islam is the bait for attracting recruits and foot-soldiers. Minus the officers, field commanders and foot-soldiers, the American scheme cannot attain fruition. All of those joining ISIS do so on the understanding that a valid Jihad is being waged for the Sake of Allah Ta'ala. Thus, there is bound to be a clash of interests between the morons in the lower ranks and the conspirators in the ruling echelons. The hierarchy has to tread cautiously to prevent exposure of the plot. Those in the lower ranks, completely unaware of the plot, at times embark on actions which are nugatory of the U.S. plot. The ISIS attack on Kobane, thwarted by the U.S., was of this kind. The facts are glaringly conspicuous for confirming that ISIS is an American creation. It is sustained by the U.S. It is a cog in the U.S. conspiracy for maintaining its grip on the Middle East and for keeping the Iranian coalition at bay. That is, if Iran too is not part of the U.S. conspiracy. Shiahs can never ever be trusted. They are the worst traitors to Islam and the Ummah. A group of miscreant ignoramuses recruited by the ISIS cowards had secretively absconded from their homes to join ISIS. On linking up with the American ISIS outfit, some of the group realized their error. Appalled by the rotten conditions, they managed to escape and return to South Africa. A Brother informing of this episode, writes: ASSALAMUALAIKUM. In the not too distant past a few youngsters were indoctrinated by certain members of the group"ISIS". They fell into their clutches. They attended quite a number of their camps and eventually decided to join the so called" struggle and jihaad" in Syria and Iraq. Obviously their parents and families would not consent to their aspirations, so without consultation with the local ulama and blatantly lying to their parents on the pretext of them having better business opportunities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi etc. they left. It was only later that their parents and the community learnt of their deception and lies and that they were in Turkey enroute to Syria to join ISIS. Naturally the parents and families were upset and proceedings were instituted with lawyers and the JMT ulama fordsburg (the NNB Jamiat) involved in trying to get the kids back home. Some were apprehended in Turkey and sent back home by the Turkish government whilst a few managed to be smuggled across the Turkish border into Syria and joined ISIS where they had a torrid time. They contacted their families whom they had napaak ilm which breeds nothing but heresy, audacity and immodesty which are a stepping stones towards salafism and succumbing and surrendering to a modernistic and Americanised approach to the Deen. It is not at all inconceivable that they will fall in to the traps of people like ISIS and their ilk who follow nothing but their nafs and shaitaan and do whatever they please to do. They do not want to be tied down and bound by the regulations and stipulations of our sublime Deen. How on earth could such people follow a mazhab-any mazhab?! Hence one could safely conclude that that the so called "darul uloom" of the fordsburg jamiat is but a breeding ground and training camp for salafis, modernistic muslims and American puppets and stooges. May Allah Ta Aala guide and save us all from the snares of iblees and our nafs. Aameen. Worth noting is that when they set out to join ISIS, under instructions, the ladies and girls who until then were in strict and full hijaab ,very easily discarded their hijaab and cut their hair whilst the men and boys shaved or shortened their beards with the notion that this would make their entry easy into ISIS territory and they would not be picked out as Mujaahideen! Now since they have retuned after their families anxiously worked tirelessly day and night to get them back home for sheer and utter fear that, as traitors to ISIS to want to leave ISIS territory, they would be beheaded and the girls made slaves, they still haven't been humbled enough to admit the error of their ways and be man enough to acknowledge that they had been foolish to have been duped by their recruiters, and like meek lambs, led to be literally slaughtered. Their shenanigans have yet not abated and ,to save face and appease their cowardly natures, they persist in trying to still justify their sinister and wrong motives by getting this so called "fatwa" from the ahle ilm of Shaam! Who are these so called ahle ilm who have decided that it is UNCONDITIONALY FARD E AIN on every individual of this ummat to join them in jihaad-even without the consent of their parents! Whom are they going to join? Are they going to be puppets of America being geared up to do their bidding when and if required? Haven't they learnt their lesson? !Can and is jihaad Farde ain on every individual? Is their anything as unconditionally participating in jihaad? Kindly enlighten us on this issue and matter. I see this as nothing but the ill -effects and results of being overawed by secular education and giving it precedence over Deeni Ilm as the notorious Fordsburrg Jamiat, the NNB Jamiat, has done by making matric a precondition for entry into their so called "darul uloom" (Darul Jahl). Allah save me and all from that which He is displeased with. Aameen. Obviously this is not permissible. After all everything is in Allah Ta'ala's control and no one can harm anyone if Allah Ta'ala does not will, especially if a person follows Islamic Orthodoxy (the Sunnah( which unfortunately is not the case with these modernist deviates. Please make Dua for our safety." (End of letter) In the wake of abandonment of the Deen comes bootlicking the kuffaar. When the fear of Allah Ta'ala departs from the heart, the vacuum is filled by the fear of shadows. Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) had predicted this abject disgraceful state of the Ummah. Participation in the kufr vigils alongside the kuffaar will not save anyone from Allah's chastisement. The punishment will overtake all those earmarked for Allah's Wrath. Bootlicking is not the solution. The answer is to obey Allah Azza Wa Jal and to adopt the Sunnah in entirety. "Help is only from Allah, The Great, The Wise." (Qur'aan) Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Haste is an act from shaitaan." Once trapped in the meshes of the haraam creature called ISIS, you will regret and cry for your parents and for your home. You will not find it as rosy as you had imagined. You will not find the 'adventure' about which you had hallucinated and fantasized listening to the haraam nasheeds which breed hypocrisy in the heart, and viewing the haraam so-called 'jihad' videos. Since ISIS enjoys minimal support from the Arab masses in the Arab lands, it has stooped to the gutter level of recruiting from nonArab lands. In implementing its gutter level tactics, ISIS has shown absolutely no regard for Islam. Those who are being pursued by the recruiters of ISIS, should ponder and consult with uprighteous Ulama before destroying their dunya and their Aakhirah. They should understand that participation in Jihad is not for the sake of adventure. Any motive other than the Pleasure of Allah Azza Wa Jal is shaitaani and nafsaani, the consequence of which will be Jahannam, and in the words of the Qur'aan Majeed: 'He has lost in this dunya and in the Aakhirah. And that is indeed a manifest (great) loss." A 'jihad' which is not within the confines of the Shariah is not a valid Shar'i Jihad. There is neither benefit nor reward in such chaos and anarchy which miscreants term 'jihad'. Ensure that you understand the rules of the Shariah before embarking on any venture. Never commit the fatal spiritual error of justifying your desire for adventure with the Shariah. Once in the battlefield the Sahaabah admired the courage of a person who was slaying kuffaar on the right and left. He displayed admiral courage and intrepidity. To the surprise of the Sahaabah, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "He is from the inmates of the Fire." Ultimately he was severely wounded. Unable to bear the pain, this so-called mujaahid who had extracted everyone's admiration for himself, committed suicide. When the news of his suicide was conveyed to Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam), he commented: "Verily, a man practises the deeds of the people of Jannat as it appears to people whilst (in reality) he is from the people of the Fire. And, verily a man practises the deeds of the people of the Fire as it appears to the people whilst (in reality) he is of the people of Jannat." Do not be deceived by claims of jihad and deeds of jihad. Acts should be scaled on the Standard of the Shariah. Before joining any group, ensure that its ideology and methodology are in strict conformity with the Shariah. Do not be beguiled by their personal interpretation of the Ahaadith and Qur'aanic aayaat. Any opinion which is in conflict with the ruling of the Fuqaha of Islam is baseless and shaitaani. Since his intention was corrupt or contaminated with the nafs and dunya, he was deprived of the Shahaadat status. Of what benefit is it to be wounded or killed in a war which is not a valid Shar'i Jihad? Once a man came to Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) seeking permission to join the Jihad campaign on which the Sahaabah were about to embark. After ascertaining that he had parents, Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) refused permission and said that his Jihad was service to his parents. In other words, the same thawaab which one obtains in Jihad one will receive for caring for one's parents. It is not permissible for even adults to join a Jihad campaign without parental consent. From this could be understood the villainy and notoriety of young girls absconding from home secretively and running off with hoodlums who masquerade as 'mujahideen'. They are not mujahideen. They are among the worst scoundrels who prey on young girls. So, do not ruin your dunya and your Aakhirat by enslaving yourself to the lustful desires of the nafs. Jihad is an ibaadat which has to be incumbently discharged in the manner ordained by the Shariah. What thawaab is there when the very first step, namely, running away from home clandestinely without a mahram, is haraam? In the Sunan of Abu Dawood it is narrated: * "A man came to Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and said: 'I have come to you to pledge allegiance on making Hijrah (Migration). I have left behind my parents who were crying.' Then Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Return, and make them laugh as you had made them cry." * "A man from Yemen migrated to Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) who said to the man: 'Do you have anyone (i.e. any relatives) in Yemen?' The man said: 'My parents.' Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: 'Have they given you permission?' He said: 'No.' Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: 'Then, return (to Yemen) and gain their permission. If they grant permission, then wage Jihad (i.e. participate in Jihad) otherwise render service to them (if they refuse permission)." Commenting on these Ahaadith, Imaam Sarakhsi (Rahmatullah alayh) says in Sharhus Siyaril Kabeer: "When a person intends to depart (from home) to participate in Jihad, and he has parents, then it is not permissible for him to leave until he has acquired permission from both parents, for verily, service to parents and abstention from from whatever causes distress to them are Fardh-e-Ain on him (the child) whilst Jihad is Fardh-eKifaayah……….. Thus, it is incumbent on him to give priority to the act of greater imperativeness. In his departure is distress and hardship for the parents…… If both grant permission, then he may depart (from home). If only one parent gives permission, then it is not permissible for him to depart because of the incumbency of observing the right of the parent (who has refused permission). Similarly, is it when both refuse permission (i.e. he may not leave them to join Jihad). The basis for this law is the Hadith of Rasulullah -Sallallahu alayhi wasallam- (mentioned above). Despite the noblest Jihad being in the company of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam), he ordered the person (from Yemen) to return because of the displeasure of his parents. When Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) was asked about the noblest deed, he said: "Salaat in its time, then kindness (service) to parents then Jihad fi sabeelillah. This is an explicit declaration (Nass) that service to parents has priority over Jihad. …………………… From this it is clear that it is not permissible for a person to leave (for Jihad) without the permission of parents. If both parents are kaafir or one is kaafir and the other Muslim, and he/she (the Muslim parent) disapproves of the son's going for Jihad, or the kaafir parent disapproves, then if such fear is valid, then it is not permissible for him (the son) to leave to participate in Jihad, for verily, with regards to kindness to parents both the Muslim parent and the kaafir parent are equal. (In substantiation, Imaam Sarakhsi cites the Qur'aanic aayat): "And, be with them (as a companion) with kindness in this world." The reference in the aayat is to mushrik parents. ……..When the parent is dependent on the son's service, then such service is Fardh-e-Ain on him even if the parent is a kaafir. It is not an act of goodness to abandon Fardh-e- Ain for the sake of Fardhe-Kifaayah." (End of Imaam Sarakhsi's quotation) The imperative importance of parental permission for participating in Jihad is emphasized in all the Kutub of Fiqh. This rule is not confined to parents. In the absence of parents, it extends to grandparents who will have the right to refuse permission to the grandson. Parental permission will fall away only when Jihad devolves as Fardh-e-Ain. However, the conflagration in the Middle East is not even Fardh-e-Kifaayah even if we had to imagine it to be a valid Jihad. Since it is in reality an American 'jihad', participation is haraam. Jihad, like all institutions and rituals of Islam, is an Act which is regulated by rules and regulations. It is not a haphazard action of anarchy left to the discretion of all and sundry. Jihad is not the product of the opinion of morons who extract aayaat from the Qur'aan Majeed, utilizing it for formulating a concept on the basis of their whimsical fancies and nafsaani ideologies. Undoubtedly, Jihad is an integral institution of Islam, and by Jihad in this context is meant Jihad on the battlefield – the physical Jihad – war against the Kuffaar. Denial of this Institution of Islam as do the modernist bootlickers of the West, who present the conception of the spiritual struggle, is kufr – such kufr which expels the proponent of the baatil view from the fold of Islam. This is the fate of all the modernist stupid 'intellegentsia' or more correctly juhhaalentsia, who have lost their Imaam bootlicking the boots of their western academic masters who have fitted the brains of their underlings – the modernists – in the straitjacket of western mental subservience. The colonized brains of the western bootlickers are in denial of the primary concept of Jihad which is the fight on the battlefield against the kuffaar. The primary objective of Jihad according to the Qur'aan and the Sunnah – the Shariah – is I'laa Kalimatullah, that is to raise the glory of Allah's Deen for the salvation in the Hereafter of the creation of Allah Azza Wa Jal. The purpose of Jihad is to clear the path for Da'wat. While Jihad does not force belief in Islam on to non-Muslims, it removes the obstacles in the Path of peaceful and orderly Da'wat and Tableegh, i.e. to call to the Deen of Allah Ta'ala and to deliver the Message of His Tauheed. A defensive war is not the primary Jihad. It is a secondary activity which also comes within the scope of Jihad, but it is not the primary Jihad which remains obligatory on the Ummah until the Last Day of this earth's tenure in the universe. For this primary Jihad there are conditions, rules and regulations without which the Jihad is not valid. The primary Jihad is not the action of a group whose primary action is hit and run, and hiding in mountains and jungles. On the assumption that the current anarchy prevailing in the Middle Eastern arena is the consequence of genuinely sincere Muslims spurred on by the virtues of Jihad stated in the Qur'aan and Sunnah, then too it will not be the primary Jihad. But the reality underlying the anarchy being currently perpetrated in the Middle East in the name of Jihad, is that the conflagration is an American 'jihad'. It is organized, directed and sustained by the U.S. and its cronies to achieve the conspiratorial objectives of America. While the foot soldiers, termed 'mujahideen', are blissfully igno- rant of this reality, the small hierarchy at the top is in cahoots with the C.I.A. who is the father of this American 'jihad'. The same scenario now prevails in Afghanistan where the Jihad is being conducted under the Pakistani Intelligence Agency in the interests of Pakistani political goals. For success, the imperative requisite for the Primary Jihad is moral reformation and spiritual elevation. Minus this fundamental requisite there is nothing but anarchy, failure and defeat, and that is precisely what has been unfolding in Muslim countries since the past 70 years or so. The primary Jihad which is the obligation of the Islamic State does not exist any where in the world. All Muslim countries are governed by kuffaar – all such governments without exception are kuffaar of the Zindeeq class. Whilst the rulers and governments profess to be Muslims, they are in reality kuffaar, hence there is no Primary Jihad being waged any where on earth in this age. In Gaza, Afghanistan and Somalia while there is the secondary or defensive Jihad taking pace, the Mujaahideen are morally emaciated, and spiritually bankrupt, hence they are bogged down in hit and run activities akin to banditry. There is no genuine success. Victory is denied to them by Allah Azza Wa Jal because all of them are far, very far from Siraatul Mustaqeem. In the Middle East, there is not even the secondary Jihad. It is pure anarchy and banditry operating under the directives of the western kuffaar who are arming all groups of so-called 'mujahideen'. But the moral condition of these Middle Eastern 'mujahideen' is exceptionally deplorable. Their 'spirituality' is restricted to hallucination and fantasizing produced by the opium of nasheeds (war songs) into which shaitaan has entrapped them. Ibaadat, besides the Fardh acts which are haphazardly performed, has no place in the lives of these 'mujahideen'. They know well the Ahaadith pertaining to killing, enslaving and the Damsels of Jannat. Besides nafsaani goals, they are lamentably ignorant of the true meaning and objective of Jihad. The corrupt hierarchy operating under U.S. directives dangle the nafsaani chimera before the ignorant youngsters who are recruited in Islam's name to serve American interests. Whilst the rewards of Jihad stated in the Qur'aan and Ahaadith are the truth, these are utilized by the conspirators as their bogey to entice and entrap ignorant and enthusiastic young men, children and even young very stupid females into the cauldron of the new era American 'jihad'. The end game of the American 'jihad' is, in the words of the Qur'aan Majeed: "Lost is he in this world and in the Aakhirat. Indeed, that is a manifest (tremendous) loss." The most glaring and conclusive evidence for the falsity and fraud of ISIS is its policy of preying on girls. It sends cowards to recruit stupid girls to join its ranks. Never in the 14 century history of Islam had females ever been recruited for participation in Jihad. The only other institution we are aware of that recruits women besides ISIS is the Tabligh Jamaat. The Jamaat is in grievous error which the Mujlisul Ulama has explained in detail in several books. The utter moral bankruptcy of ISIS is highlighted most disgustingly by its policy of luring young stupid girls to abscond from their homes like sewer rats. Only such girls who have the tendencies of muster up the blatant and shameless audacity to join the robbers of ISIS and to flee like mice and rats secretively from their homes without the awareness of parents. Only prostitutes bereft of Imaani haya can come to terms with cutting their hair and abandoning their hijaab and making themselves available for sexual abuse by the ISIS thugs. These girls should remember that their reputation is sullied and completely wrecked by their immoral acts of absconding, cutting their hair, abandoning hijab, etc. In the community they will always be viewed as women with loose morals undeserving of respectable husbands. SHAIKH Abul Ghaith (rahmatullah alayh) narrated: "A Shaikh and a Faqeeh once came to our Shaikh Ahdal and asked him to accompany them to a certain place. Shaikh Ahdal complied and I accompanied them. Late during the night I observed the Shaikh and the Faqeeh standing high above in midair with drawn swords. Shaikh Ahdal and myself were on the ground. When I queried this strange and miraculous episode, Shaikh Ahdal said to me: "O Abul Ghaith, these people are on the stage of Tauliyat (i.e. empowered to appoint rulers) and Azal (i.e. empowered to dismiss rulers). By Allah's command they appoint and dismiss rulers." By this time even an ignoramus, provided that he is sincere, would have understood that ISIS is an American puppet 'caliphate'. Sorely lacking in foot soldiers, ISIS is scraping the very bottom of the barrel of immorality in its recruitment tactics. While the U.S. is preparing 'mujahideen' out of the Syrian refugees to become the foot soldiers of ISIS, the recruitment policy of ISIS which is absolutely haraam is continuing to ensnare young girls and boys into its nefarious net. Hitherto, there is not a single Jihadi outfit which has degenerated to the obscene and immoral gutter level in which ISIS operates like a sewer rat. Desperate for foot soldiers and for females to gratify the bestial lusts of its ignorant foot soldiers, ISIS is luring stupid youngsters and stupid young girls to abscond from their homes – to abandon parents and home for the sake of achieving the haraam objectives of a bunch of immoral bandits operating in the name of Jihad. All jihadi groups, wherever they may be existing, are generally averse to foreign Muslims joining them. They are in need of finance, arms and ammunition, not foot sol- diers. There is no shortage of manpower in their ranks. The Taliban, for example, are averse to foreign Muslims joining their ranks for foreigners constitute a threat and a burden. Foreigners could be C.I.A. spies. Infiltration is a standard policy and it is vigourously implemented. The threat is therefore real. Furthermore, foreigners are a burden, They have to be trained and armed. The war climate does not facilitate training, and the shortage of arms and ammunition complicates and multiplies the burden. Leave alone females, even males are discouraged by the variety of Jihadi entities from active participation. However, when foreigners are accepted into the Jihad outfit, they are free to leave at any time. In fact, their departure is a relief for the Taliban and other groups. But not so with ISIS. Once in the ranks of ISIS, departure is at the peril of life. Those who wish to leave after having observed and experienced the farce of this devilish 'jihad' outfit are liable for execution. Some have escaped, others have failed at the cost of their lives. The common moral factor of all other Jihadi group, even those who operate under kuffaar directive, is that they never recruited women, and they never accepted females into their ranks in any capacity whatsoever. ISIS is the sole exception. In their rat-like recruitment of children – young boys and girls – ISIS is in diametric conflict with the Shariah. Young girls are lured out of their homes clandestinely. The later heartache of parents does not feature anywhere in the religion ISIS follows. The girls travel without mahrams. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said that it is not lawful for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to undertake a journey without her male mahram. The girl is involved in and taught to sin from the day of recruitment. After she 'elopes' from home like a sewer rat, she passes all her time in the La'nat (Curse) and Ghadhab (Wrath) of Allah Azza Wa Jal. She becomes an object of sexual abuse for ISIS. Similarly, is the plight of young boys who are lured out of their homes and taught the 'virtues' of absconding like sewer rates from their homes. Abandoning parents and haraam activities have become virtues for the rat 'mujahideen' of ISIS. They are bereft of the slight- est vestige of Islamic Akhlaaq. Their minds are filed with stercoraceous sexual matter. Their tongues stink of filthy abuse which they disgorge on the social media for the entire world to view and know. Legalized prostitution is also a great virtue in their jihad philosophy. Killing non-Muslims at random is integral to their 'jihad', whilst genuine Jihad forbids random killing. Non-Muslims are the prime targets for Da'wat and Tableegh, not for torture, plundering and killing. If the Sahaabah and the Salafus Saaliheen had adopted the haraam, brutal policies and Satanism of ISIS, never would all of us today have been blessed with the Treasure of Imaan. More than half of the kuffaar world consisting of nonArabs, voluntarily entered into the fold of Islam as a direct consequence of the justice, kindness, Da'wat and Tableegh of the illustrious Sahaabah and the Taabieen. Brutality eliminates all scope for propagating Islam to non-Muslims. ISIS justifies its haraam brutality on such Qur'aanic Verses and Ahaadith which had specific application, and which do not constitute the normal rules of Jihad. But since the objective of ISIS is not the Pleasure of Allah Azza Wa Jal, the Shariah's rules applicable to Jihad are of no concern. Today, ISIS is among the scum proliferating the Ummah. Muslims should not be tricked into the ISIS trap set up by America. Question We know that the Umayyad Khilaafah started from Hazrat Mu'aawiyah radhiyallahu anhu, and it was regarded as a Dynasty rather than an actual Khilaafah (i.e. al khilaafah alaa minhaajin nubuwwah) due to it being inherited by their heirs in the same manner as the kingdom of Rome and Persia. My question is, why wasn't the rule of Hazrat Ali and Hazrat Hasan radhiyallahu anhuma also regarded to be a Kingdom or Dynasty since the reins of Khilaafah after Hazrat Ali Radhiyallahu anhu were given to His son and heir, Hazrat Hasan radhiyallahu anhu? Answer The meaning of Khilaafah has been misunderstood. If the ruler governs according to the Shariah, he will be a legitimate Khalifah of Allah Ta'ala via Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhhi wasallam). All the rulers of the Bani Umayyah and of Banu Abbaas and the Uthmaanis (Ottomans) were regarded and accepted as Khulafa. The method of appointment is not a condition for the validity of Whether the Khalifah is appointed by the prominent Ulama, or by an existing ruler, or he assumes power by force of arms, or by a military coup, he will be the legitimate Khalifah as long as he governs strictly according to the Shariah even if he is a faasiq/faajir. The Fuqaha of Islam never questioned the validity of the Khilaafate of Bani Umayya and Banu Abbaas despite these being monarchies. Monarchy is not nugatory of Khilaafate. The objection which anyone had with Banu Umayya rulers, for example, was on account of their zulm, fisq and fujoor, not because they were the effects of a dynasty. Hence, there is Ijma' on the validity of the Khilaafate of Hadhrat Umar Bin Abdul Aziz. This is because he had restored the Minhaaj of Khilaafate to that of the Khulafa-e-Raashideen. The Minhaaj is the Shariah, and the special feature which makes the Khilaafate of the Khulafa-e-Raashideen outstanding is the simplicity. While simplicity is laudable and necessary, it is not a condition for the validity of a Khilaafate. Thus, if today the tyrants of Saudi Arabia, decide to implement Shariah Law 100%, we shall be the first to proclaim the king to be a valid Khalifah regardless of the method of his appointment. The method of appointment is Ijtihaadi and depends on circumstances which are ever changing. The Khilaafate of Hadhrat Ali (Radhiyallahu anhu) whose son Hadhrat Hasan (Radhiyallahu anhu) succeeded him was the beginning of a dynasty. There is nothing unIslamic about this. Hadhrat Muaawiyyah (Radhiyallahu anhu) perpetuated the dynasty system, and there is nothing wrong in this, for Allah Ta'ala had created monarchy. The Qur'aan Majeed states clearly that Allah Ta'ala had made Mulook (kings) in Bani Israaeel. The Maqsad is to govern according to Allah's Law. Thus, the ruler who fulfils this objective is a valid Khalifah. Question (2) Was the Khilaafah of Umar bin Abdil Azeez Rahmatullahi Alaih regarded as a Khilaafah alaa minhaajin nubuwwah? Answer The Khilaafate of Hadhrat Umar Bin Abdul Aziz (Rahmatullah alayh) was ala minhaajin nubuwwah par excellence. Khilaafate is the system of government, not the system of appointment of the Khalifah. Question (3) And what about the Khilaafah of Abdullah bin Zubair radhiyallahu anhu? Answer The Khilaafate of Hadhrat Abdullah Bin Zubair (Radhiyallahu anhu) was a valid Khilaafat. Question (4) Was the Uthmaani Khilaafah/ Ottoman Empire regarded as a valid Khilaafah according to Shariat? Answer While the Ottoman Khilaafate was a valid Khilaafate, it was not alaa minhaajin nubuwwah. It lacked the simplicity and the piety and the Maqaasid if the Aakhirah which conspicuously adorned the Khilaafate of the Khulafa-eRaashideen. The same applies to the Banu Umayya and Banu Abbaas. The only Khilaafate of these dynasties which was alaa minhaajin nubuwwah was the Khilaafate of Hadhrat Umar Bin Abdul Aziz (Rahmatullah alayh). Question (5) At one stage, was there a valid Khilaafah in Afghanistan when Mullah Omar was in power? Answer There never was a valid Khilaafate in Afghanistan. Question (6) Will the Khilaafah of Imaam Mahdiyy be a Khilaafah alaa minhaajin nubuwwah? Answer Most certainly, the Khilaafate of Imaam Mahdi (Alayhis salaam) will be alaa minhaajin nubuwwah. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) himself vouched for this when he said that Imaam Mahdi (Alayhis salaam) will fill the earth with justice. Note that Imaam Mahdi's appointment will be unique, quite different from the method in which the Khulafa-eRaashideen had been appointed. This also confirms that the system of appointment is not a pre-requisite for the validity of Khilaafate. We have discussed the issue of Jihad in greater detail elsewhere in these pages. The spinelessness of these fake 'mujaahideen' is amply demonstrated by their flight like dogs with tails between the legs, from the arena of chaos. Their moral and spiritual bankruptcy is amply displayed by their ignominious, cowardly flight after having joined the American puppet 'caliphate' of ISIS. Now if they believe that Jihad is Fardh-e-Ain why the hell did they run away and are now behaving like sissies taking refuge behind the skirts of their womenfolk? If it is their belief that Jihad is Fardh-eAin, then they should have remained with ISIS. Why did these cowards run away. Obviously, they ran like mice because they are cowards. Since these spineless cowards suffer from satanic and stupid pride, they refuse to acknowledge and proclaim the reality of the moral filth and corruption which they had seen in the ranks of the ISIS robbers of Imaan and plunderers of morality. The behaviour of these rats, males and females, committing major haraam misdeeds like cutting the beard, women cutting the hair and abandoning hijab, loudly testify for the baatil, fisq and shaitaaniyat of ISIS, its recruiters and the stupid prey entrapped in shaitaan's snare. The only logical reason for this illogic acquittal of the dogs who had fled with tail between legs is embarrassment. They now are em- barrassed among their acquaintances for their double cowardice. The first cowardice was when they disappeared from home like sewer rats, and the second cowardice was their flight from what they had perceived was the battlefield of Jihad. Now they concoct some 'plausible' incongruity for according acceptability to their cowardly light. The moron sheikhs of ISIS who dish out Fardh-e-Ain fatwas are socialists. With their smattering knowledge they lack vastly in Fiqh. Their only asset with which they bamboozle other morons is fluency in the Arabic language. Other than this, they are devoid of valid Ilm of the Deen, hence they are capable of disgorging rubbish 'fardh-e-ain' fatwas without understanding what exactly this is. There are 2 or 3 billion Muslims on earth. How the hell do these billions of men, women and children travel to and gain entry into Syria to fulfil the hallucination of the 'fardh-e-ain' injunction? Are the morons, cowards, murderers, plunderers and rapists of ISIS by the means to bring 2 billion Muslims from all over the world to Syria, arm them, house them, feed and clothe them? The cowards are unable to arrange for even a dozen misguided stupid young boys and girls whom their rat-like recruiters recruit clandestinely, spirit away secretively and hide in 'safe houses' in Turkey waiting an opportune moment to transport them to wherever the trap of shaitaan has been set up. The contention that Jihad is Fardh-e-Ain in the current scenario in the Middle East is a lousy canard devoid in entirety of Shar'i substance. The moron sheikhs of ISIS with their smattering of knowledge have miserably failed to proffer a single valid Shar'i daleel for their fardh-e-ain concoction. Their claims are merely loud noises bereft of valid dalaa-il of the Shariah. Extracting Qur'aanic aayaat and subjecting these to personal extrapolation at the behest of the nafs is not a daleel in the Shariah. These moron sheikhs should gain admission to a Madrasah and learn Fiqh from reliable experts to understand the operation of the dalaa-il of the Shariah. The claim that Jihad today is Fardh-e-Ain in the Middle East is utterly baseless. It is false and the effect of stupid brains and of lack of Shariah knowledge. If these moron ISIS sheikhs had expert knowledge of Fiqh, they would have been able to gain access to all the Kutub of all the Math-habs to ascertain what is the meaning of Fardh-e-Ain Jihad. Jihad being Fardh-e-Ain is extremely rare. Fardh-e-Ain Jihad is not a conventional war. It is not a Jihad to cap- ture territory. It is not a war between the opposing armies. It is a very last resort – a desperate struggle in which the entire populace participates. It is a situation where every man and every woman and every child fights for his/her own survival. In a scenario in which the Muslim army has been overwhelmed and defeated and unable to protect the people, or in a scenario where there is no Muslim army to protect Muslims, and if the kuffaar ransack, pillage and plunder the Muslims, then it devolves as Fardh-e-Ain – compulsory on every Muslim in that region – to take any weapon and adopt any means to fight the marauding kuffaar, be they a kuffaar army or the kuffaar population. In such a situation no one requires permission. It is a life and death struggle. In history of the distant past, such a situation had developed when the entire Muslim population was expelled from Spain. Despite Jihad at that juncture having been Fardh-a-Ain, the Muslim people chose expulsion to Jihad, hence they were humiliatingly expelled, never to return again to Spain. In 1947, when the Indian subcontinent was being partitioned into India and Pakistan, Muslims were slaughtered. Tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands were slaughtered by the worshippers of the cow and idols. Jihad was Fardh-e-Ain, but due to total Roohaani bankruptcy, the only options chosen by the Muslims of India was to flee and be slaughtered by the filthy hands of the idolaters. Also in 1947, when the Yahood usurped Palestine, Jihad was Fardh -e-Ain. But, the options were the same as in India – flee and get slaughtered by the filthy hands of the kuffaar plunderers and rapists. During the Bosnian-Serb war a few years ago, Jihad was Fardh-eAin on the population at the time when the Serb forces attacked and butchered Muslim villages and communities. In all recent scenarios of Fardh-eAin Jihad, despite the presence of 50 or 60 Muslim countries with armies, air forces and navies, no one came to the aid of the Muslim communities on whom Jihad had devolved as Fardh-e-Ain in the first instance. They all remained cowardly observes spectating the horrendous scenes of Muslim destruction by the kuffaar. The current Middle Eastern conflagration is among the darkest frauds and conspiracies of the U.S.A. All the so-called 'jihadi' outfits are being armed primarily by the American kuffaar. The operations are planned, designed and directed by the U.S. and its allies. The fight is not between Muslims and the Yahood or Nasaara. The fight in that region is between Muslims and Muslims. Muslims are killing Muslims. OPERATION FREE OIL More than 6000 U.S. and European troops have invaded Libya on the pretext of 'halting the advance of ISIS', and to wrest control of more than a dozen oil fields supposedly held by ISIS. The oilfields are in fact held by the Libyans themselves. There is no ISIS presence in Libya as U.S. propaganda asserts. The term ISIS has become the favourite bogey of the West. Under cover of ISIS, the U.S. is pursuing its pernicious objects in the Middle East. Every discerning person is able to understand that this new invasion of Libya by America, Britain, France and Italy has nothing to do with the ghost known as ISIS. The objective is free oil to be stolen from Libya. The plot is to capture the oil fields from the opposing Libyan forces who are in control of the oil fields. To justify the aggression and piracy, the bogey of ISIS is presented. If the aim is to halt the advance of ISIS - an advance which is hallucinated and presented as the justification for the aggression and piracy - ISIS should be attacked and eliminated in its rickety and undefended Raqqa headquarters. But, no attempt is made by the U.S. and its coalition to obliterate Raqqa, and why should they make any such attempt, when ISIS is America's puppet 'caliphate' created for the furtherance and achievement of U.S. conspiratorial goals? Why are these 6000 troops not deployed to finish off ISIS in Raqqa? Why should the phantom 'ISIS' be attacked in Libya so far away from Raqqa from whence the transport of millions of barrels of oil daily from numerous oilfields is organized? The U.S. having realized the stupidity and impotency of the world's nations, presents the most stupid justification for its plots. ISIS has been unable to capture Bagdhad, right on its doorstep. It has demonstrated impotence against the Kurds. It has hopelessly failed in the Syrian arena. How can this emaciated band of robbers who prey on young girls in foreign lands have 5000 'mujahideen' in Libya? The recruitment of imbecile young girls and stupid youngsters from outside the Middle East testifies for the impotency of this American ISIS Mafia outfit. The objective of the U.S. and its allies in Libya is glaringly transparent. The operation is in reality "Operation Free Oil". The plot is to capture the oil fields from the Libyans to ensure free oil for the U.S. and European pirates. Whether ISIS is a U.S. plot or not is not of primary concern. For Muslims, of primary concern is to know whether the conflagration in Iraq and Syria is a valid Shar'i Jihad or not. Is ISIS waging a legitimate Jihad? The facts deny this contention. Even if it be assumed that ISIS is not a U.S. creation, then too, this outfit is not waging a valid Shar'i Jihad. It is spiritually and morally bankrupt. Which Islam allows young girls to be surrepritiously lured from their homes to abscond without mahrams and without parental consent to venture into an unknown, dangerous and evil future? This recruiting tactic of ISIS is of crucial importance in understanding the mentality of these sex maniacs. Only sex maniacs lure young girls from their homes and convince them of the 'merit' of running away from their parents like prostitutes. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said that it is not halaal for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to travel without a male mahram. So which Islam is ISIS following in the promotion of this bestiality? And which Islam is ISIS following by brutally and recklessly murdering and uprooting the nonMuslim populace of Iraq? These people have been living in Iraq in the eras of all Khilaafats—during the Khilaafate of the Khulafa-e- Raashideen, during the Khilaafate of Bani Umayya, during the Khilaafate of Banu Abbaass, during the Khilaafte of the Ottomons and right until the present day. They were not molested by the rulers of Islam. ISIS is the only entity which has embarked on the villainy of brutality against the minority non -Muslim population. The Shariah prescribes the comparatively small Jizyah tax for its non-Muslim citizens to protect them, to grant them freedom of religion and to exempt them from military service. It is a dastardly falsehood to claim that these people had defiantly refused to accept the Jizyah law, and opted to be killed and to be uprooted from the land where they lived for thousands of years such as the Yazidis. It should be remembered that in a genuine Islamic state there is no income tax, no Vat and none of the plethora of oppressive taxes imposed by kuffaar governments. Thus, there is no reason why the non-Muslim citizens would defiantly refuse to pay Jizyah. Furthermore, those who are not by the means to pay Jizyah due to poverty are exempted. On the contrary, the Islamic State has to grant even its destitute non-Muslim citizens a monthly stipend from the Baitul Maal (Public Treasury). So which Islam is ISIS following? ISIS follows Wahhaabi 'Islam', a fundamental of which is to sow terror with indiscriminate killing and brutality. All non-Wahhaabi Muslims are lawful game for plundering and elimination. This was the type of 'Islam' with which the British Saudi 'caliphate' had made its debut at the outset of its capture of Hijaaz. Commenting on the brutality of the Wahhaabis, Allaamah Ibn Aabideen states: "They (i.e. the Khawaarij) would make takfeer of the Sahaabah of our Nabi (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam), just as that which is happening in our age. The followers of Abdul Wahhaab have emerged from Najd and have taken control of the Haramain. While they pretend to be of the Math-hab of the Hanaabilah, they believe that only they are Muslims, and whoever opposes their belief are mushriks. Hence, they regard as lawful the killing of the Ahlus Sunnah (the followers of the Hanafi, Maaliki and Shaafi' Math-habs) and of their Ulama." (Shaami) The American 'caliphate' in Iraq has adopted this very same pattern of Wahhaabi 'Islam' ISIS – and all Wahhaabis – lack the understanding of the Maqsad of Jihad. The primary objective of Jihad is I'laa-e-Kalimatullah (To raise the glory of the Word of Allah). In other words, Jihad clears the path for Tableegh and Da'wat. It removes the hostile impediments to permit the free and smooth oper- ation of the Muballigheen. This is the way in which Islam spread. If the objective of Jihad was to kill non-Muslims, as is the objective of ISIS, then today only the Arabs of Hijaaz would have been Muslims. The vast majority of Muslims in the world hailed from Christianity, Hinduism, Bhuddism, paganism, etc. All our forefathers were kuffaar and mushrikeen who accepted Islam voluntarily when they saw the beauty of this Deen. But what has ISIS to offer nonMuslims? Can non-Muslims who observe ISIS in action ever be enticed to enter into the fold of Islam? Furthermore, the real enemy consists of the U.S., Israel and Russia. But ISIS is not fighting the U.S., Israel and Russia. It is killing Muslims of its own kind (Wahhaabi/Salafis of the otherJihaadi outfits), some Shiahs, and Yazidis. Currently, there is no valid Shar'i Jihad in Iraq and Syria. The conflagration is Americansponsored and created to further the global objectives of the U.S. The jihad outfits are running in circles like bandits from village to village with no clear objective in sight or in mind. ISIS has lost a considerable size of the territory it had captured two years ago. Baghdah is right on its doorstep. It dare not even look in that direction. ISIS has lost Tikrit and Ramadi. It has become an impotent rural 'caliphate'. If ISIS had enjoyed Allah's Nusrat, then by this time Bagdhad, Istanbul, Amman, Cairo, Damascus and Israel would have been annexed to the Khilaafate. However, since this dummy 'caliphate' is a purely American venture, the effects of the conspiracy are conspicuous for men of intelligence to observe. The is no Jihad in Iraq and Syria. In the Qur'aan which is the Book of Principles for the Ahkaam whose details are located elsewhere, are to be found words such as Salaat, Saum, Zakaat, Sadqaat, Imaan, Tijaarat, Riba, Jihad, etc., etc. Only modernist juhala and stupid molvis of these times brutally rip these terms from their Shar'i contexts and meanings, and assign such concepts and meanings to these terms which render these misinterprets Zindeeqs. Just as it is haraam to subject these terms to one's own understanding and interpretation, so too is it with the word Jihad which appears in the Qur'aan. Just as Salaat, etc. have detailed ahkaam, so too has Jihad. The molvi had stupidly quoted an aayat from Surah Taubah without understanding and without even being aware of the ahkaam pertaining to Jihad. This molvi, in fact all of us, have to use the Qur'aan Majeed for only Tilaawat. No one has the right in this era to rip out an Aayat from the Qur'aan Majeed and mutilate it with a nafsaani interpretation. Whoever desires to understand what Jihad in Islam is, should incumbently refer to the Kutub of Fiqh. It is haraam for this molvi to extract and fabricate masaa-il of Jihad on the basis of a Qur'aanic Aayat. There is absolutely no permission for his scandalous attitude and stupid 'istimbaat'. His statement: "The call of jihad has been made by a few people and we should respond.", illustrates this molvi's jahaalat. Who are these 'few people'? What type of clandestine, faceless 'mujahideen' are these loafers whose desire is to portray their banditry as Jihad? Why did this molvi not mention who these 'few people' are? What is their status? We can safely say that they are juhala and fussaaq. How can one respond to a 'call' made by faceless entities whose religion QUESTION Assalamu Alaikum, Respected Ulema. Yesterday at Masjid-e-Noor in Roshnee, we had an Aalim who spoke very nicely and was very well dressed, Masha Allah. The topic was on 'Jihad'. In his talk he mentioned a few things amongst them were: 1. The call to jihad has been made by a few people and we should respond. 2. The country and government that we live in cannot tell us what to do in our religion and our lives and our Masajid. 3. He quoted an aayah from Surah Taubah, and explained that if your parents etc. stop you from going then you shouldn't listen to them. You should go. 4. The Palestinians are being punished because they cursed Allah and His Rasool (saw). 5.True mujahideen are being bred in Shaam, Iraq, Syria and Palestine. 6. Most of the Ulema don't know what's the meaning of jihad and have misinterpreted it. The outcome: Most people are saying that they are getting ready to join Isis. What can be done? To whom can we address the issue with?" The above are what the Aalim said in his talk. My question: Are those points fine to mention in a jumua bayaan especially about Palestine being cursed and the ulama not knowing the meaning about jihad? Jazakallahu khairan ANSWER Whether in a Jumuah Bayaan or in a private talk with one person, what the molvi spoke is largely bunkum. He has only displayed his gross jahaalat regarding Islam's Institution of Jihad. Firstly it is essential to understand that Jihad, i.e. war to raise the Word of Allah, Jihad to establish Islam throughout the world, is a valid and a Fardh institution of Islam. Deniers of Jihad are murtad. Modernists bootlickers of the West are generally at pains to argue into teaches eloping with young girls with prostitute tendencies? These faceless juhala clandestinely recruit stupid, faasiq youngsters and shameless young girls to abdicate from their homes, to abandon their parents and to sneak away like sewer rats, and for the girls to run off like prostitutes to become the maids of lust-driven fujjaar portraying themselves as 'mujahideen'. Where should we go in response to the call of the hoodlum so-called 'mujahideen'? To the Middle East? In this regard, the moron molvi said: "The mujahideen are being bred in Shaam, Iraq, Syria and Palestine." Why did the jaahil leave out Afghanistan from his numeration? The reason is not really a conundrum for those who have intelligence. This molvi and similar other recruiters of foot soldiers for the Middle eastern arena, have handlers – sinister handlers – hence the 'brave' front calling Muslims to join faceless people to join bandits posing as 'mujahideen. There is a sinister dimension underlying the calls which this type of molvi make in bayaans. Afghanistan has been deleted from the equation, because in Afghanistan recruits have to fight Americans and the U.S. installed puppet government. Thus, the molvi does not make a public call for joining the jihad in Afghanistan. On the contrary, in Shaam and Iraq, the fight is not against the Americans and their Western compatriots. Rather, the U.S. is the organizer and primary architect and supporter of the 'jihad' in the Middle east. All countries and all intelligent men are aware what is really happening in the Middle East. Only bandits, slaves of the nafs and stupid youngsters and young prostitute-type girls are shockingly blind to the reality. Since the U.S. is in charge of the Middle eastern 'jihad' as it was in charge of the Afghan jihad against the Soviet Union, everyone is free to recruit 'mujahideen' for the U.S. cause, just as mujaahideen were freely and openly recruited for the Afghan war against the Soviets. The current rot in the Middle East is under the direct supervision of the U.S. Everything - the killings, the conflagration and all the chaos and misery over there are the effects of the American 'jihad'. There is absolutely no Islamic/ Shar'i Jihad in the Middle East. The motley of 'jihad' outfits, all operating like bandits, are under U.S. directives. Just whom are they fighting? They kill their own kind and a smattering of Shiahs here and there in a lamentable, stupid attempt to pull wool over the eyes of the world, and to bestow facade of credibility to their 'jihad'. The Middle east currently is not breeding any Mujaahideen. Far from this, it is the ground for chaos, anarchy, banditry, conspiracy and aiding and abetting the U.S. in the attainment of its pernicious objectives against Islam and the Ummah – the fallen and disgraced Ummat – disgraced as a consequence of treachery against Allah Azza Wa Jal. Recruitment of foot soldiers for the U.S. 'jihad' has been going on and is still going from U.K., South Africa, Pakistan, and other countries. The authorities in these countries, especially U.K. and Turkey, are 100% aware of those travelling to Syria, of the destination of these recruits. They have the names of all, and they are aware of their movements right from the airports to their ultimate destination in Syria where they link up with one of the 'jihaadi' outfits. Yet they do absolutely nothing to curb and prevent the flow of recruits. All of these young morons and young prostitutes pass through Turkey to reach the dens of the marauders. Yet Turkey, ostensibly anti-ISIS, is allowing them all safe passage. Turkey is in cahoots with the U.S., and Turkey knows that it is the 'jihad' of the U.S. that has to be sustained with foot soldiers, hence none of these governments is making any attempt to prevent the young hoodlums from travelling to the Middle East. It is an American 'jihad', and everyone is in submission to the U.S. That is why the jaahil molvi has the 'courage' to speak about this U.S. 'jihad' in the Jumuah bayaan. Who is arming the motley of 'jihaadi' outfits? It is no secret that Saudi Arabia, using Jordan as the conduit, funnels the arms and ammunition through this channel. This is all with the full blessing and gratitude of the U.S. What are the achievements of these 'mujahideen' in Shaam and Iraq? Who are they fighting, and what have they achieved with the heart-rending misery of hundreds of thousands of refugees in the background? Muslims are killing Muslims – Salafis killing Salafis. Assad is merely the bogey who fits well into the puzzle. He is the perfect insulation for Israel. He serves the American and Israeli cause. The moron molvi shamelessly encourages stupid people to flagrantly disobey their parents, to flee like rats from their homes to join the U.S. 'jihad'. These U.S. 'mujahideen' have no Shar'i goal. They run around like crooks and dacoits. Their leaders in the farce are well insulated and provided for while hundreds of thousands of Muslims uprooted by the banditry of these 'mujahideen' are languishing in unimaginable suffering. They have no Deen and no morality. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) specifically turned down the request for Jihad by a man who had aged parents to look after. The Fuqaha have clearly issued detailed rulings regarding parental permission to participate in Jihad. But in the first instance, there is no Shar'i Jihad in the Midlle East. Why don't these thugs recruit from the Syrian refugees.? There is an almost inexhaustible reservoir of recruits available among the hundreds of thou- sands of Syrian refugees to fight for their own country and homes from which they have been cruelly expelled. In fact, these thugs parading as 'mujahideen' are the prime cause for all the misery o the Syrian refugees. As for the jaahil's moronic utterance: "The country and the government that we live in cannot tell us what to do in our religion and our lives and our Masajid." has a sinister stench. It appears that this molvi is under instruction by some sinister handler/s who have issued him the licence to utter what is criminal in this country. Such brazen criminal utterances are usually at the behest of sinister elements to whose tune the utterer dances, for he is assured of immunity against prosecution. It is a simple matter to make even a criminal utterance in public when the agenda of the U.S. is served. Most of these governments are under U.S. domination and dictation. A criminal utterance of this sort is unexpected of one dressed like a damned dandy. If this utterance is not underlined with a sinister dimension, then the molvi is too stupid for adequate description. A genuine Mujahid – a sincere Mujahid – even if he errs in his understanding of Jihad, will not attract the attention of the authori- ties to his clandestine activities. If he does, then he will only be exhibiting his stark ignorance. This criminal utterance is either by design and under instruction of sinister handlers, or it is the stupid bravado of a moron. According to the Shariah, it is not permissible for the Muslim citizens in a non-Muslim state to commit treachery and treason. Citizenship is a pact with the government. The Qur'aan forbids violation of a pact with the kuffaar. Emphasizing the importance of honouring pacts and treaties, the Qur'aan Majeed states: "If they (i.e. Muslims) seek your aid in (matters of) the Deen, then aiding them is incumbent on you except against a nation with whom you have entered into a pact. And, Allah sees whatever you are doing." (Aayat 22, Anfaal) The treaty of Hudaibiyyah with the mushrikeen oppressors and persecutors is further evidence for the impermissibility of violating the terms of the treaty. Regarding the punishment of the Palestinians, this is not exclusive with them. The Divine Punishment has apprehended many Muslim nations and communities. The Kashmiris, Rohingiyas, Syrians, Iraqis, Bosnians, Afghans, Chinese Muslims, Indian Muslims, etc. have all been overtaken by Allah's punishment for gross and flagrant fisq, fujoor, bid'ah and kufr. The moron has no proper idea of the meaning and the ahkaam of Jihad, hence his jahaalat constrained him to utter the rubbish that "most of the Ulama do not know the meaning of Jihad." A handful of louts, hooligans and prostitutes who are running away from their homes and parents like rats to join the American ISIS, are not "most of the people" in the Muslim community. It is precisely because the vast majority of Muslims have spurned America's ISIS, that this scourge is scraping the very bottom of the barrel by luring young girls to commit kufr by fleeing from their homes without mahrams. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said that it is not halaal for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last day to travel without a mahram. Thus, a woman who behaves like a prostitute, flees from home and travels without a mahram is guilty of kufr. If her belief in Allah and the Last Day is genuine, never would she commit such a ghastly act as fleeing like a prostitute and ending up thousands of miles from home in the dens of those who maraud Islamic morality and who are cogs in the U.S. conspiratorial machinery. Two evidences conspicuously damn Turkey as a U.S. confederate in the ISIS plot. (1) ISIS oil is transported via Turkey. Thousands of tankers make the trip daily to Turkey where the oil is offloaded. These tankers trek across open desert terrain. Never are they attacked from the air by the U.S. or Turkey or the Arab coalition. (2) Turkey facilitates the passage of recruits for ISIS. Whilst Turkey ostensibly portrays itself as an enemy of ISIS, just as the US does, it is in fact permitting recruits from all parts of the world to reach ISIS territory. Recruits have to pass through Turkey to reach ISIS. The Turkish authorities are fully aware of this fact. Young men and young girls arrive in droves at the border. From the Turkish border there is no other objective other than linking up with ISIS. The route from the Turkish border leads only one way to ISIS. Yet the Turkish authorities allow all these moron young men and girls to cross its border and enter into ISIS territory. The documentation of the details of the mujahideen joining jihad outfits is the hallmark of, in fact evidence for, the machinations of sinister forces who are in control of these outfits. The details of the mujahideen are intended for future use when there is a need for rounding them up for imprisonment and elimination. In Pakistan the ISI (the intelligence agency) was in charge of the Sikh volunteers who were in training camps in Pakistan during the rule of President Ziyaaul Haq. The Sikhs were agitating for a Sikhstan in India, and Pakistan was training and arming these revolutionaties. The details of every Sikh rebel were documented by the ISI. When Benazir Bhutto came to power and entered into a friendship with India, she promptly handed these documents to India. Everty Sikh rebel was rounded up, and the rebellion crushed. The ISI has the same policy re- garding the mujahideen who join the jihad outfits to fight in Kashmir. The ISI is in full charge of the fake Kashmiri 'jihad' which is being waged, not for the sake of Islam, but for the strategic objectives of the kuffaar regime of Napakistan. After the withdrawal of the Russians from Afghanistan, when the U.S. no longer required 'mujahideen' to fight its cause in Afghanistan, Napakistan was ordered to round up the Arab mujahi- deen. The Arab Mujahideen were hounded, arrested, imprisoned and deported. The Pakistani Mujahideen had formed secret organizations to save the Arabs, concealing them and providing refuge until they could find some way to exit Napakistan safely. The same scenario is a distinct possibility in Iraq and Syria. A genuine Jihad organization would not act so stupidly as to document the details of its Mujahideen thereby exposing them to the enemy. SULTAN Taajuddeen Yaldooz had entrusted his son to an Ustaadh for his Deeni education. One day, in a fit of rage the Ustaadh struck the prince on the head with his whip. The prince collapsed and died. The Ustaadh was miserable with remorse and fear. On receiving the sad news, the Sultan immediately hastened to the maktab where he saw the dead body of his son. Observing the miserable state of the Ustaadh, the Sultan said: "Leave immediately before the news of the prince's death reaches his mother. Migrate to some faraway place where you can pass the days in concealment. Go before I am petitioned to have you executed for this crime." Shedding tears in profusion and expressing his profound gratitude, the Ustaadh departed as advised by the Sultan. The Sultan's honour did not permit punishing the man who was the Ustadh of his son. The Sultan's grief did not overshadow his honour and intelligence. THE Islamic State (IS) group yesterday pulled its fighters out of Rutba, a desert town in the western Iraqi province of Anbar. The pullout would be a rare case of the jihadists abandoning a position under no massive military pressure and suggests a manpower crisis in the organisation. "Daesh [IS] has completely pulled out of Rutba and gone towards Al-Qaim," a major general said, referring to a jihadist bastion on the border with Syria, further north in Anbar. "Daesh's armed men started pulling out last night and completed their withdrawal this morning," the senior officer, who did not want to be named, said. "Rutba is now free of Daesh." The mayor of the isolated town, which lies about 390km west of Baghdad on the road to Jordan, confirmed that IS had withdrawn, possibly as a consequence of their losses in Anbar, notably the retaking by the security forces of Ramadi, areas east of Ramadi and the progress towards Hit, he said. "It cannot be ruled out, however, that Daesh is pulling out to try to lure out sleeper cells among the population cooperating with the security forces," the mayor said. "We have warned the residents that this could be a trick. .. and asked the Iraqi security forces to come and retake control of the area." The major general said any operation in Rutba needed the approval of Prime Minister Haider alAbadi and sufficient time to plan. Raja Barakat, a member of Anbar provincial council's security committee, confirmed the Rutba pullout and said IS had also been pulling some of its forces from Hit. "It was not just from Rutba but also from Hit, after their fighters shaved their beards to slip out," he said. The US-led coalition that has been carrying out air strikes against IS for more than 18 months has said the jihadist group was stretched increasingly thin. – AFP The Herald 14 March 2016 RASULULLAH (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "The noblest Jihad is to proclaim the Haq (the Truth) in the presence of a tyrannical king." The worst and the most cruel tyrant who appeared among the Muslims was Hajjaaj Bin Yusuf, the governor of Iraq. Killing people was his favourite sport and occupation. Without rhyme or reason he would have people executed. Besides those killed in battles, Hajjaaj Bin Yusuf had executed 120,000 people in his presence. Among those whom he had killed were numerous Sahaabah. Once when Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Umar (radhiyallahu anhu) saw Hajjaaj delivering a khutbah on the mimbar, he (Ibn Umar) was overwhelmed by anger, and he proclaimed: "O enemy of Allah! You legalize what Allah Ta'ala has made haraam. You pollute the House of Allah and you kill the Friends of Allah." When Hajjaaj heard this severe rebuke, he asked someone, 'Who is he?' It was said to him: "Abdullah Ibn Umar." Overwhelmed with wrath, the murderer thundered: "Old man! Be silent! Your mind is deranged." He descended from the mimbar and instructed one of his men to deal with Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Umar (radhiyallahu anhu). Hajjaaj's man struck Ibn Umar's leg with a poi- soned spear. This poison was the cause of Hadhrat Ibn Umar's death. Whilst Hadhrat Ibn Umar (radhiyallahu anhu) was on his deathbed, Hajjaaj came to visit him. He made Salaam, but Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Umar (radhiyallahu anhu) did not respond to his Salaam. Wa Jal, and since we are mukallaf of the Shariah, we have to examine issues in the cold reasoning of the principles and laws of the Shariah, and proclaim what the Haqq is. In a nutshell, the Haqq is: The Muslims of Syria and Iraq for all practical purposes were living like kuffaar whilst professing to be Muslims. Their Ulama had totally abandoned Amr Bil Ma'roof Nahyi Anil Munkar. Their Ulama had become evil slaves of the Nafs and the Dunya. The vast majority of their children was growing up like kuffaar. The majority could not recite even the Qur'aan Majeed, leave alone having a basic knowledge of the Deen. To remind them of their transgression, vice and immorality, Allah Ta'ala had imposed on them His lesser punishment in the form of the oppression of the kufr regime of Assad. The Muslims failed to heed this and continued their reckless downward slide into the abyss of rebellion, fisq and fujoor. The ultimate result is Allah's Greateer Athaab which the world is witnessing today. Other Muslim communities elsewhere should not be complacent and feel snug in the safety and comfort which they are still enjoying. Heed the misery of the Syrian and Iraqi Muslims, and return to Obedience. Only then shall we be assured of Aafiyat. change in the Sunnah of Allah Azza Wa Jal. The Qur'aan repeatedly warns us of this fact. No community will escape Allah's Wrath when the point of no return has been reached. No amount of Dua, sympathy and relief aid of all the relief agencies of the world will solve the horrendous imbroglio prevailing in the Iraqi-Syrian theatre of blood and misery. Only a return to the Deen – to the Sunnah – will change the situation for the better. The mujaahideen or the so-called mujahideen in Iraq and Syria were merely the trigger for the eruption of the Divine Chastisement. The function of these mujahdeen in this scenario of Athaab, was merely to initiate the process of Allah's Athaab. They are instrumental in causing the misery of the people. These outfits were manipulated by the U.S.A. to bring about the conflagration of anarchy which is wracking the region today. Had they not embarked on their nonsensical 'so-called' 'jihad', millions of people would not have been uprooted from their homes. Anyhow, we all are helpless when Allah Ta'ala decrees. Every occurrence is a cog in the Divine Scheme. But, since we are not aware of the Taqdeer of Allah Azza who have not heeded the "lesser punishment" which they had to bear under the tyrant Assad whilst they were still living comfortably and with relative peace in their homes, i.e. prior to the current conflagration. The Syrian inferno of Athaab has hitherto claimed approximately 270,000 dead (official figures) and millions displaced from their homes and living in utter squalor and misery. While Allah's lesser punishment was the bearable oppression of the Shiah Oppressor, Assad, the "Greater Punishment" has been imposed on the people in the current form of genocide since they had failed to heed the lesser punishment and reform themselves by reverting to the Shariah from their life of modernity, kuffaar liberalism and immorality which were the order of the Day prior to the horrendous episodes which have destroyed the peoples of Iraq and Syria. The Iraqi and Syrian Muslims have drifted far, very far from the Deen. They had turned their backs on to Islam. Allah's Greater Athaab has therefore overtaken them. Our grief and our Duas for the suffering do not change the reality nor should we forget the reality stated in the Qur'aan and Ahaadith. There is no "Fasaad (anarchy/strife/mayhem) has appeared in the land and the ocean because of the perpetrations of the hands of people. (Thus this fasaad) is for the purpose of giv- ing them a taste of some of their perpetrations, for then perhaps they may return (to Allah's Path of the Deen)." (Ar-Room, Aayat 41) The Qur'aan Majeed and the Ahaadith abundantly and with emphasis clarify that anarchy and strife on earth are forms of Divine Chastisement of the lesser kind to jolt people into realization so that they understand their evil and villainy, and return to the Path of Obedience. Elsewhere in the Qur'aan, this reality is further confirmed: "We shall surely give them to taste from the lesser Punishment, not the greater punishment (which awaits them in the Hereafter or even in this world at a later stage), for perhaps they will (heed) and return (to the Path of Obedience and Taqwa)." (As-Sajdah, Aayat 21) The calamitous events which have unfolded and are still unfolding in the Middle East are undoubtedly the decree of Allah Azza Wa Jal. It is the Decree of Athaab (Divine Punishment) for people "From Nice the Crusaders marched to Antioch. Slaughter, rapine and outrage marked their progress through Asia.The siege of Antioch lasted nine months. Provisions became scarce, and the soldiers of the Cross actually resorted to cannibalism. "Carrion was openly dressed," says Mills, "and human flesh was eaten in secret." (According to Von Sybel, Mills, and many other writ- ers, cannibalism was openly practised among the lower ranks of the Crusaders, especially the camp followers). Mutilation of the dead was indulged in as a sport. The heads of two thousand Turks, who fell in a sortie from Antioch, were cut off; some were exhibited as trophies, others were fixed on stakes round the camp, and others shot into the town. On another occasion they dragged the corpses of the Saracens (i.e. Muslims) from their sepulchres, and exposed fifteen hundred heads to the weeping citizens. "The son of the Seljuk Ameer commanding at Antioch," says Michaud, "fell into the hands of the Crusaders, and they tried to induce his family to deliver up the city as his ransom. On their demand being refused, they subjected their young captive to the most barbarous treatment. His cruel tortures were renewed each day for a month. At last they conducted him to the foot of the rampart, and there immolated him in the sight of his parents and fellowcitizens" (Vol. i. p. 462.) Brutality often goes hand-inhand with reckless indulgence, and the invaders gave the rein to their wildest passions. One author remarks that "seldom does the history of profane wars display such scenes of intemperance and debauchery." And Michaud says, "if contemporary accounts are to be credited, all the vices of the infamous Babylon prevailed among the liberators of Sion." Antioch at last fell by treachery. An Armenian traitor named Firtlz, or as the Arabs call him Behruz, lowered ropes in the night by means of which the Crusaders scaled the walls. Some towers were seized and the guards slain. A gate was then opened, and the whole army poured into the city shouting "Dieu le vent," and then commenced a frightful butchery. "The dignity of age, the helplessness of youth, and the beauty of the weaker sex, were disregarded by the Latin savages. Houses were no sanctuaries, and the sight of a mosque added new virulence to cruelty." (Mills, vol. i. p. I79.) Every habitation, from the marble palace to the meanest hovel, was converted into a shamble; the narrow streets and the spacious squares all alike ran with human blood. The lowest estimate puts the people massacred in Antioch at ten thousand souls. After butchering the Saracens, the invaders abandoned themselves to the worst excesses. From Antioch they proceeded to Marra't unNoman, one of the most populous and flourishing cities of Syria, which they captured. Here they slaughtered one hundred thousand people. "The streets ran with blood until ferocity was tired out." Bohemond then reviewed his prisoners. "They who were vigorous or beautiful," says Mills, "were reserved for the slave-market at Antioch, but the aged and infirm were immolated at the altar of cruelty." At Marra also cannibalism was rampant, "and it is even said that human flesh was publicly exposed for sale in the Christian camp." F.Michaud gives a graphic account of the massacre. Saracens were massacred in the streets and in the houses. Jerusalem had no refuge for the vanquished. Some fled from death by precipitating themselves from the ramparts; others crowded for shelter into the palaces, the towers, and above all into their mosques, where they could not conceal themselves from the pursuit of the Christians. The Crusaders, masters of the Mosque of Omar, where the Saracens defended themselves for sometime, renewed there the deplorable scenes which disgraced the conquest of Titus. The infantry and cavalry rushed pellmell among the fugitives. Amid the most horrid tumult, nothing was heard but the groans and cries of death; the victors trod over heaps of corpses in pursuing those who vainly attempted to escape. Raymond 'Agiles, who was an eye-witness, says, 'that under the portico of the mosque, the blood was knee-deep, and reached the horses' bridles.' " (Vol. i. p. 236.) There was a short lull in the work of slaughter whilst the Crusaders returned thanks to heaven for their success; but it recommenced immediately the prayers were over. "All the captives whom the lassitude of carnage had at first spared, all those who had been saved in the hope of a rich ransom, were butchered in cold blood. The Saracens were forced to throw themselves from the tops of towers and houses; they were burnt alive; they were dragged from their subterranean retreats, they were haled to the public places, and immolated on piles of the dead. Neither the tears of women, nor the cries of little children, nor the sight of the place where Jesus Christ forgave his executioners, could mollify the victors' passion." (Michaud, Vol. i. p. 239.) Another writer adds: "It was resolved that no pity should be shown to the Mussulmans. The subjugated people were therefore dragged into the public places, and slain as victims. Women with children at the breast, girls and boys, all were slaughtered. The squares, the streets, and even the uninhabited places of Jerusalem, again were strewn with the dead bodies of men and women, and the mangled limbs of children. No heart melted into compassion, or expanded into benevolence." (Mills, vol. i. p. 278. Michaud adds, "The carnage lasted for a week. The few who escaped were reduced to horrible servitude.") Over seventy thousand people perished in the city! ................................" (Extracts from ' A SHORT HISTORY OF THE SARA- CENS' (By Ameer Ali) The ruler of Egypt, Ahmad Bin Tuloon was notorious for his brutality and oppression. Hadhrat Abul Hasan Bunaan Bin Ahmad (rahmatullah alayh), in the light of Rasulullah's Hadith: "The noblest Jihad is to proclaim the truth in the presence of a tyrannical sultan." went to Bin Tuloon and admonished him for his oppression. Ibn Tuloon was furious. He ordered that Hadhrat Abul Hasan be cast into prison. A lion was held hungry in captivity for a few days. A public announcement was made for the people to assemble on a certain day to observe the punishment which would be meted out to Hadhrat Abul Hasan for his audacity – i.e. for his Amr Bil Ma'roof. On the appointed day, a huge crowd had assembled to spectate the scene which was about to unfold. In the arena, Hadhrat Abul Hasan was ushered with his hands tied. The cage was opened and the lion stormed out wildly and headed for Hadhrat Abul Hasan. As the lion approached in proximity of Hadhrat Abul Hasan, a wonderful scene astonished the crowd. The lion went limp, sniffed Hadhrat Abul Hasan, walked obediently around him, then went and sat at a distance. From the crowd burst out the cry of "La ilaha ill al laahu! Allaahu Akbar! Ibn Tuloon lowered his head in humiliation. He then ordered that Shaikh Abul Hasan (rahmatullah alayh) be set free with honour. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) warned: "When Anr Bil Ma'roof Nahyi Anil Munkar is abandoned, Allah will appoint such oppressors (over the Muslims, who will show no respect to your elders and no mercy to your little ones. The Pious among you will supplicate, but their duas will not be answered." Once Khalifah Haaroon ArRasheed asked Muhammad Battaal about any amazing event which had occurred to him in the land of the Romans. He narrated the following episode: "One day while I was walking in the fields I heard the hooves of a horse behind me. When I turned I saw a fully armed horse-rider. He approached me and greeted. I responded. He asked if I had seen a man who is called Battaal. I said that I am Battaal. He alighted from his horse, embraced me and kissed my feet. I asked him: "Why are you doing this?" He said: "I have come to be at your service." I made Dua for him. Suddenly four armed horsemen approached us. My companion asked: "Do you permit that I engage them in battle?" I said: "Yes." Then they clashed for an hour, and finally killed him. Then they advanced to attack me. I said to them: "If you desire to fight with me, then grant me respite to arm myself with the weapons of my slain companion and to mount his horse. They said: "You may do so." After I armed myself, I said to them: "You are four and I am one. This is unfair. Let one of you advance on me." Thus one of them stepped forward. We fought and I killed him. The second one came forward. We fought and I killed him too. Then came the third one. I killed him as well. O Ameerul Mu'mineen! The fourth one came and we fought fiercely until his spear and my spear broke. Then we dismounted from our horses. He took his sword and shield, and so did I. We fought fiercely. Then the hilts of my sword and his sword broke, and our swords fell to the ground. Then we wrestled. This continued until the evening, and the sun set. Neither did I defeat him nor did he defeat me. I said to him: "Today I have missed Salaat." He said: "The same with me." He was a bishop. I said to him: "Do you agree that we halt to perform our missed worship and rest for the night? In the morning we can resume our combat." He said: "So shall it be." Thus, I engaged in Allah's ibaadat while he also worshipped. In the morning we resumed our combat. I overpowered him and sat on his chest ready to kill him with my dagger. He pleaded: "Give me another chance." I agreed, and the fight resumed. My foot slipped and he overpowered me. He sat on my chest and intended to kill me. I said to him: "I had given you a chance. Will you not give me also a chance?" He said: "So it shall be." Then we wrestled for the third time. Again he overpowered me, and sat on my chest ready to kill me. I said to him: "One for one. Be magnanimous another time." He said: "Let it be so." We wrestled for the fourth time, and once again he overwhelmed me. Then he said: "Now I realize you are Battaal I shall most certainly bring peace to the land of the Romans by eliminating you." I said: "Never! If my Rabb wills." He said: "Tell your god to save you from me." O Ameerul Muomineen! As he lifted his dagger to slaughter me, I beheld a wondrous scene. My slain companion stood up, lifted his sword and severed the head of the one on top of me. Then he (my slain companion) recited the Qur'aanic aayat: "Never think that those who are slain in the path of Allah are dead, infact they are alive; by their Rabb they are nourished." A PAGE FROM OUR GLORIOUS PAST In its propaganda campaign, ISIS lauds much praise on Sultan Salahuddin and the Khalifah Haroon Rashied. Salahuddin was a Kurd of the Hanafi Math-hab. Khalifah Haron Rashied was also a Hanafi. The chief Qaadhi of his Islamic empire was Imaam Yusuf (Rahmatullah alayh), the most senior Student of Imaam Abu Hanifah (Rahmatullah alayh). Yet, Hanafis are not Muslims according to the Wahhaabi doctrine of ISIS. But without these illustrious personalities, there is no Islamic history. Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi (Rahmatullah alayh) was no paper puppet 'caliph' such as Mr. Simon, the U.S. installed 'caliph' of ISIS. Despite being the true ruler of the Islamic Empire, Sultan Salahuddin remained a faithful and obedient vassal of the Abbaasi Khalifah of Baghdad. It was Sultan Salahuddin who had reinstated the name of the Abbaasi Khalifah in the Jumuah Khutbah in all the lands under his sway. He was a staunch Hanafi and abided by the Shariah Salahuddin is famed for his gentleness and kindheartedness. He did not massacre the kuffaar who had brutally massacred the Muslim population in every place conquered by the Crusaders. The Sultan's Uswah Hasanah – conduct of moral excellence – is beautifully portrayed in his stance on the Conquest of Jerusalem where the Christian crusading savages had perpetrated the most horrendous atrocities on the Muslim population when they (the barbaric crusaders) had conquered the city from the Muslims some decades ago. The following account in A Short History of the Saracens, testifies to the Islamic humanity of Sultan Salahuddin: "The Sultan then turned his attention towards Jerusalem, which contained within its walls over sixty thousand (Christian) soldiers, besides an immense civil population. On approaching the city he sent for the principal inhabitants and spoke to them in the following terms—"I know, as you do, that Jerusalem is a holy place. I do not wish to profane it by the effusion of blood; abandon your ramparts, and I shall give you a part of my treasures and as much land as you can cultivate." With characteristic fanaticism the Crusaders refused this generous and humane offer. Irritated by their refusal, Saladin (Sultan Salahussin) vowed he would avenge on the city the butchery committed by the comrades and soldiers of Godfrey de Bouillon. After the siege had lasted a while, the Crusaders lost heart, and appealed for mercy "in the name of the common Father of mankind." The Sultan's kindness of heart conquered his desire for punishment. The Greeks and Syrian Christians within Jerusalem received permission to abide in the Sultan's dominions in the full enjoyment of their civil rights, and the Franks and Latins who wished to settle in Palestine as subjects of the Sultan were permitted to do so. All the combatants within the city were to leave with their women and children within forty days, under the safe-conduct of the Sultan's soldiers and betake themselves either to Tyre or Tripoli. Their ransom was fixed at ten Syrian dinars for each man, five for each woman, and one for each child. On failure to pay the stipulated ransom, they were to remain in bondage. But this was a mere nominal provision. The Sultan himself paid the ransom for ten thousand people, whilst his brother Saif uddin (Saif ud-din Abu Bakr, surnamed al-Malik al-Aadil.) (the Saphadin of the Christians) released seven thousand more. Several thousand were dismissed by Saladin's clemency without any ransom. The clergy and the people carried away all their treasures and valuables without the smallest molestation. Several Christians were seen carrying on their shoulders their feeble and aged parents or friends. Touched by the spectacle, the Sultan distributed a goodly sum to them in charity, and even provided them with mules to carry their burdens. When Sybilla, the Queen of Jerusalem, accompanied by the principal matrons and knights, took leave of him, he respected her unhappiness, and spoke to her with the utmost tenderness. She was fol- lowed by a number of weeping women, carrying their children in their arms. Several of them approached the Sultan and addressed him as follows-—"You see us on foot, the wives, mothers, and daughters of warriors who are your prisoners; we are quitting for ever this country; they aided us in our lives, in losing them we lose our last hope; if you will give them to us, they can alleviate our miseries and we shall not be without support on earth." Saladin, touched by their prayers, at once restored to the mothers their sons, to the wives their husbands, and promised to treat whoever remained in his power with kindness. He distributed liberal alms among the orphans and widows, and allowed the Knights Hospitallers, although they had been in arms against him, to continue their work of tending the sick and wounded and looking after the Christian pilgrims. Saladin's humanity was in striking contrast with the brutality of the nearest Christian prince. "Many of the Christians who left Jerusalem," says Mills, "went to Antioch, but Bohemond not only denied them hospitality, but even stripped them. They marched into the Saracenian (Muslim) country, and were well received." Michaud gives some striking details of Christian inhumanity to the (Christian) exiles from Jerusalem. Repulsed by their brethren of the East, they wandered miserably about Syria, many dying of grief and hunger. Tripoli (which was still in Christian hands) shut its gates against them, and "one woman, urged by despair, cast her infant into the sea, cursing the Christians who refused them succour." Out of respect for the feelings of the vanquished, the Sultan had abstained from entering the city until all the Crusaders had left. On Friday, the 27th of Rajab, attended by the princes and lords and the dignitaries of the empire who had arrived in camp to congratulate him on his victory, he entered Jerusalem. The ravages of war were repaired on all sides, the mosques and colleges that had been demolished by the Franks were either restored or rebuilt, and a liberal and wise administration was introduced in the government of the country, quite different from the rude tyranny of the Crusaders. ........" PROCLAIMING THE HAQQ Addressing the cruel, blood thirsty tyrannical ruler, Hajjaaj Bin Yusuf, Hadhrat Hasan Basri (rahmatullah alayh) said: "O enemy of Allah! We have seen whatever you have fabricated. O you who fans the flames of fisq and fujoor (evil and immorality)! O you devo- tee of sin and transgression! Of what use will all these (worldly luxuries) be for you? The inhabitants of the Heaven curse you. The wrath of the inhabitants of the earth has reached its limits tolerating your cruelty, satanism and oppression. Verily, Allah has taken a pledge from the Ulama that they will proclaim the truth to the people, and will not conceal it." (Naatiq is one who speaks) HADHRAT AARIF Abdur Rahmaan Nuwairi (rahmatullah alayh), a renowned Faqih and Wali, had participated in the Jihaad of Dimyaat. He was martyred in this Jihaad campaign. His killer who was a Chris- tian, said: "After I killed Abdur Rahmaan, I exclaimed: 'O Qissees (i.e. Aalim) of the Muslims! You read in your Book (the Qur'aan), the verse: "Never think of those who are killed in the Path of Allah that they are dead. In fact, they are alive, and are being nourished by their Creator…" I said: 'He is your Aalim.' As I spoke, the slain Abdur Rahmaan opened his eyes, lifted his head and exclaimed: 'Yes! I am alive and I'm being nourished by Him.' Then he became silent. When this episode was enacted, kufr departed from my heart and I became a Muslim. I hope that by the blessings of Abdur Rahman who was the cause of my becoming a Muslim, Allah Ta'ala will forgive me." Since Hadhrat Abdur Rahmaan (rahmatullah alayh) spoke after shahaadat, he is called Shaheed Naatiq. Q. Recently there appeared some young men in Tamale, Ghana, whose mission is to wage Jihad against the kuffaar and hypocrites in the locality before dealing with outsiders. However, the police caught them in the bush training with their guns. They are only 7 in number. The residents were happy and passing comments like "kill them", "set them ablaze", "fundamentalist", etc. Please comment. Can any group of persons decide to declare Jihad? A. Both groups are in error. Both groups are morons – juhala who have no understanding of Islam and the operation of the Shariah. The residents as well as the seven men who plan to wage 'jihad' in Ghana are tricked by shaitaan. Even if the seven are sincere, they are in error. Sincerity is not the only condition for a valid Shar'i Jihad. The comments by the stupid residents though understandable, are improper. It is understandable because they fear a Boko Haraam scenario in their midst. Boko Haraam itself is Haraam. It is not permissible for a group of Muslims living in a country to initiate a campaign of 'jihad' against the authorities. The consequence will be nothing but misery, anarchy and corruption. Elsewhere in these pages, the topic of Jihad is explained in greater detail. Q. After saying the name "Imaam Mahdiyy", should we say "alaihis salaam" or "radhiyallahu anhu"? My respected Ustaad has said that it is better to say for Him "radhiyallahu anhu" instead of alaihis salaam as it (saying alaihis salaam for Imaam Mahdiyy) is the practice of Shiahs A. When mentioning Imaam Mahdi, in our urf we say 'Alayhis Salaam'. What your Ustaadh say is his opinion. About opinion we are not dogmatic. His opinion may also be valid. Nevertheless, since it is the tareeqah of all our Akaabir to say 'alayhis salaam', we follow suit. Q. What about Hajjaaj bin Yusuf and those who were involved in the Qatl of Hazrat Husain radhiyallahu anhu, the likes of Ubaidullah bin Ziyaad, Umar bin Sa'ad and Shimr bin ZeeJo'shan? Can we make Dua-eMaghfirat and send Eesaal e Sawaab for them? And what about cursing them like how some have done? It this permissible? A. About Hajjaj Bin Yusuf, Hadhrat Hasan basri (Rahmatullah alayh) said: "Do not curse him, for he is Allah's punishment for you." Thus, we maintain silence and do not embark on futility. Why would one even think of acts of Isaal-eThawaab for those who had committed oppression? Cursing is stupid, futile and destructive. Q. Regarding Salaahud Deen Ayoobi, was he a pious man and was his Jihaad sincerely for I'laa e Kalimatillah? A. Sultaan Salaahuddeen (Rahmatullah alayh) was a very pious Sultan. His Jihaads were sincere, and conducted in the interests of Islam and the Ummah. His Jihad Campaigns were defensive. He spent his life on the battlefield defending Islam and the Ummah. Q. Some laymen say that Hazrat Abu Sufyaan bin Harb as well as Ikrimah bin Abi Jahl radhiyallahu anhuma were not true believers – Nauthubillahbecause They only accepted Islam after Fath e Makkah out of fear of being killed by the Muslimeen. Is such a statement kufr? A. Thousands accepted Islam after the Conquest of Makkah. Were they all Munaafiqs? What 'some laymen' say about Hadhrat Abu Sufyaan (Radhiyallahu anhu) is the effect of Shiah influence. Those who disparage the Sahaabah – any Sahaabi – may find their own Imaan precariously perched on the brink of kufr. Whilst their statement is not such kufr for the application of the Fatwa of Takfeer, nevertheless, they hover on the brink of Jahannam and real kufr.
