A man committed kufr, then repented and entered into a fresh Nikah. Does he have to pay mahr again, and organize a Walimah?
Answer
Yes, Mahr has to be paid when entering into a fresh Nikah. There is no need for walimah for a marriage of this kind. It is not permissible to advertise one's sins, especially the sin of kufr/ irtidaad.
