Bulletin 58 STRIKING BAATIL "In reality, We (Allah) strike baatil (falsehood) with the Haq. It then smashes out the brains of baatil. And, lo, it (baatil) suddenly disappears." (Qur'aan) BULLETIN No. 58 www.themajlis.co.za THE BAND OF HAQ "There will ever remain a band from my Ummah fighting on the Haq until the Day of Qiyaamah. Those who oppose them and those who do not aid them, will not be able to harm them." (Hadith) A T THE END of the first Gulf War, President Gaddaafi's ambassador visited South Africa to solicit moral support for the defeated Iraq. In fact, the Gulf War was not a war. It was like a big bully kicking an inebriated man sprawled on the ground even before the kicking commenced. The ambassador visited countries in Africa inviting the Ulama for a conference in Libya. He had a marathon meeting of eight hours with us, discussing a variety of topics. We asked him to explain why Saddam Husain did not put up a valid fight against the U.S. He had the fourth largest army in the world. He had an airforce of a thousand aircraft, and thousands of anti-aircraft guns, etc., etc. Why could he not shoot the American planes out of the sky as they approached Baghdad, and why was his huge airforce so impotent. The ambassador was very frank and honest. He commented: "We Arabs are monkeys. Saddam's entire airforce consisted of Russian aircraft and everything was computerized. The U.S. had all the information. It simply threw an electronic blanket which blocked the entire airforce. Not a single one of the Russian Migs was capable of taking off. If Israel wants, it can take Baghdad within 24 hours, and the entire Arab World will be impotent onlookers. We can be crushed like ants. It is only the U.S. which is restraining Israel from advancing on us" These were the comments of a man of the Dunya, not of a Molvi. He echoed the lesson which Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) had imparted in the Hadith instructing the Sahaabi to discard the Persian bow, and to take an Arabian bow and spear. Whilst the reason proffered by the ambassador is valid, the actual cause for the ineffable and heart-breaking defeat of Iraq was the atheism, fisq, fujoor and kufr, not only of Saddam, but of the vast majority of the people of that land. The entire population was rotten to the core. So rotten and so stinking was the immorality of the nation, that Saddam Hu- sain himself closed down a thousand brothels in only Bagdhad. Zina was not banned. Only a thousand brothels in one city were closed. Besides the thousand, many other thousands in Baghdad and the country flourished. The crime of the people was not only zina. It was total abandonment of the Deen. Kufr was their cult. They were lost and sinking in the abyss of their intoxication of opulence. The opprobrium of their wicked and corrupt lifestyle rendered them valid candidates for the warning stated in the following Qur'aanic Aayat: "When We intend to destroy a land, We command its affluent ones (i.e. Grant them a free licence to proceed recklessly with their villainy and immorality). Then they (recklessly) indulge in fisq (gross and flagrant transgression). Thus the decree (of the punishment) is established for them. Then We utterly destroy them." (Bani Israaeel, Aayat 19) The Divine Punishment came in the form of the U.S. The country was ravaged and demolished with all the heartbreaking consequences of which all and sundry are well aware. ".......We sent against you (O Muslimeen!) such of Our servants (in the Iraqi context, the U.S.) who are powerful in war. Then they penetrated the homes (of the Muslims)… .......so that they may disfigure your faces and so that they may enter the Musjid (Musjidul Aqsa – as Israel is doing today) as they did aforetime, and so that they utterly destroy whatever they overrun." DIVINE LOVE AND THE SUNNAH "Emulating and following Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) in word, deed and thought are of imperative importance. This should be in eve- ry sphere (of life) so that the love of Allah Ta'ala becomes entrenched in the heart. The Love of Allah cannot be acquired without following and emulating Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam). The Qur'aan says: "Say (O Muhammad)! If you (Muslims) love Allah, then follow me (i.e. follow Rasulullah – sallallahu alayhi wasallam)." (Khwaajah Naseeruddin Mahmood Chiraagh) HADHRAT Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi (Rahmatullah alayh), in a brief comment, said: "In a democracy, the decision is the effect of majority opinion. Even the king (in a democracy) cannot decree in conflict with the majority opinion. If he has the power to overrule the majority, then it will be a dictatorship. A system is not a democracy merely on the basis of consultation. It is based on the majority. This was not the principle in the system of governance of the Sahaabah Kiraam. There is not a single instance in which the Khalifah was made subordinate to majority opinion. The Qur'aanic Aayat: "Consult with them. Then if you decide, repose trust on Allah (and act according to your resolution).", substantiates the Islamic system of dictatorship (the system in which the Khalifah governs according to the Law of Allah Ta'ala). (Advising the liberals who attempt to justify western democracy with the Qur'aan, Hadhrat Thanvi said): "Involve yourselves in your respective professions/ occupations. Do not intrude in a domain for which you are not qualified. Reading a translation does not make you an Aalim." Democracy is a kuffaar sys- tem which zindeeqs endeavour to portray as Islamic. There is absolutely no basis in the Shariah for the validity of any kuffaar system of governance. The Khilaafat system which commenced with the appointment of Hadhrat Abu Bakr (Radhiyallahu anhu) as the first Khalifah of Islam, is a holy, just dictatorship in which the Head of the state governs in accordance with the Law of Allah Ta'ala. In the Islamic system, the laws are not manmade. The laws are not figments of the bestial nafs of morons enslaved to bestiality. It is not a system in which the Ruler and the officials of the state are appointed by masses of criminals of every kind. RASULULLAH (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "My Sahaabah are like the stars. Whomever of them you follow, you will be guided." All the Sahaabah are Udool (just and virtuous). There is consensus of the Ahlus Sunnah on this Fact. Allah Ta'ala as munaafiqeen and kuffaar, is kufr which expels them from the fold of Islam. While the Sahaabah were not has expressed His Pleasure in the Qur'aan Majeed for the Sahaabah. The Shiah belief of hatred for the Sahaabah and branding almost ALL of them Ma'soom (sinless), it is haraam for Muslims to criticize any Sahaabi regardless of his errors and sins. Only Allah Ta'ala will judge the errors and the mutual disputes of the Sahaa- bah. It is Waajib (incumbent) on us to adopt silence and to love and revere all the Sahaabah of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam). Denying this incumbent belief is kufr. Q. Please read the interpretation of a dream seen by Nabi Daanyaal (Alayhis salaam). Is this interpretation correct? A. The interpretation of the dream presented by some modernist is pure conjecture. It is unlikely that the dream of Nabi Daanyaal (alayhis salaam) about 4000 years ago could be referring to the British and Russian empires. The dream will have no benefit if this interpretation is accepted. Dreams of the Ambiya are Wahi. Far-fetched interpretations are not valid. Nabi Daanyaal (Alayhis salaam) must have explained the meaning of the dream to his people. It was essentially for the guidance of his people. Whenever Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) saw a dream, he would explain it to the Sahaabah. If the modernist's interpretation has to be accepted, it will follow that the dream of the Nabi was futile since it had no benefit for his people. Assuming that it was meant for people thousands of years later, then too, it is futile. No one attaches any importance or significance to the conjecture of a modernist thousands of years after the Nabi (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam), and that too after the demise of the British and Russian empires. There is simply no guidance in this interpretation for anyone. If the dream signified guidance for people thousands of years later, then Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) would have presented an interpretation. Its kufr of joining the kuffaar faith leaders QUESTION Please comment on the MJC's support and participation in the silent march of the faith leaders against lawlessness in the country. Among the participants of this silent march will be the Western Cape Christian Ministers Association, the Western Cape Religious Leaders Forum and the MJC. The silent peace and prayer walk will commence at the St. George's Cathedral in Cape Town to the Castle of Good Hope where a prayer session will take place. Is it permissible for a Muslim organization to join such an interfaith assembly? ANSWER Firstly, the MJC has long ceased being a Muslim body. It is a kufr organization masquerading as Muslim. It is in the forefront of kuffaar activities which it stupidly and baselessly attempts to pass off as acceptable by Islam. This 'silent' walk in addition to being a futile act, is a kufr venture, especially the prayer session. It is haraam to participate in kuffaar prayers. It is not a secret that Christians believe that Nabi Isaa (Alayhis salaam) is god. They are mushrikeen. Only such deviates who are bereft of Imaan will join in a kufr prayer session, and participate in a baatil activity such as this silent march in emulation of the kuffaar. It is haraam for Muslims to participate in any way whatsoever in this haram, baatil activity of the kuffaar. By participating in the prayer session, Imaan is extinguished. If any Muslim suffers the unfortunate calamity of joining the kufr prayer, he will lose his Imaan. It will then be imperative for him to renew his Imaan and also his nikah if he happens to be a married man. May Allah Ta'ala save Muslims from the evil tentacles of these mudhilleen molvis and sheikhs of the MJC who are shayaateenul ins (human devils). Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said that "their tongues are sweeter than sugar whilst their hearts are the hearts of wolves. They are the shayaateenul ins." The only solution for the deplorable, despicable and lamentable situation in which the Ummah, world-wide, is grovelling in abject humiliation, licking the boots of the kuffaar, is to divert the focus from the kuffaar, their ways and their institutions, and to answer the Call of Allah Azza Wa Jal. In the Qur'aan Majeed Allah Ta'ala says: "Allah has promised those who believe (have valid Imaan) among you and who practise virtuous deeds (A'maal Saalihaat) that He will make them the rulers on earth just as He had made those before them the rulers. And, He will establish for them (i.e. the Pious Mu'mineen) their Deen with which He is pleased, and He will substitute their fear with safety. They worship (only) Me and they do not associate anyone with Me. Those who commit kufr after this, verily, they are the faasiqoon. Establish Salaat, pay Zakaat and obey the Rasool for so that mercy shall be shown to you." (An-Noor, 55, 56) Instead of adopting this Qur'aanic prescription for success and victory over the kuffaar, Muslims who are Muslim merely in name, grovel at the feet of the kuffaar licking their boots for aid and succour. But Allah warning us, says: "The Mu'minoon should not take as friends the kaafireen besides the Mu'mineen." There are many Aayaat in the Qur'aan Majeed and Hadith narrations warning us from the disgraceful act of befriending the kuffaar and grovelling at their feet. The degree of demoralization in the Palestinians, the Kashmiris, the Syrians as well as other Muslim communities has turned them away from Allah Ta'ala. Their lifestyle and their attitudes bear vociferous testimony for the kufr which they have adopted despite professing to be Muslims. The Qur'aan is meaningless for them. It has become an antique relic. Thus the promises of Allah Ta'ala have no meaning and no reality for Muslims of this era. The Qur'aan states emphatically and explicitly: "Say: O Allah Maalikul Mulk (The King of kings)? You grant sovereignty (political power) to whomever You will, and You snatch away sovereignty from whomever You will. You honour whomever You will and You disgrace whomever You will. Goodness is in Your Hand. Verily, You are All-Powerful over all things." (Aal Imraan, Aayat 26) For the desired victory over the kuffaar, the Qur'aan commands: "Turn with repentance all of you, O Believers! so that you attain victory." Our success is in Inaabat Ilallaah (to turn in repentance and obedience to Allah Ta'ala). Inaabat does not mean the type of Qunoot Naazilah which a stupid Ummah performs with ostentation – a prayer devoid of sincerity, spirit and even Sunnah methodology. The solution for our lamentable plight is not boycotts, shouting slogans, looking askance at kuffaar, and railing against the Chastisement which Allah Azza Wa Jal inflicts on us by way of kuffaar domination. Whenever the kuffaar have the upperhand over us, then it is imperative for Muslims to understand and see the Hand of Allah Azza Wa Jal operating. The oppression of the kuffaar is Allah's punishment for the oppression which Muslims inflict on themselves. Allah Azza Wa Jal says in the Qur'aan Majeed: "What! Are the inhabitants of the cities/towns confident regarding Our Punishment (that it will not overtake them) during the night time whilst they are sleeping? "What! Are the inhabitants of the cities/towns confident regarding Our Punishment (that it will not overtake them) during the daytime whilst they are in amusement? "What! Are they confident about the Plan of Allah? Only people who are losers are confident regarding the Plan (of Punishment) of Allah." The wild fires raging out of control bringing widespread de- struction in their wake, are not accidents. The destruction is the decree of Allah Azza Wa jal which will continue and terminate only when its divinely commanded goal has been accomplished. For all the oppression the West has been committing and is still committing, Allah's punishment in the form of these wild, raging destructive Fires, is now apprehending them, and this is only the lesser punishment. Warning the oppressors and the kuffaar, and also the grossly disobedient Muslims, the Qur'aan Majeed states: "Verily, We shall give them to taste the lesser punishment, not the greater punishment, for perhaps they may return (to the Path of Rectitude)." Associated Press (2 Aug 2018) reporting on these Fires, says: UPPER LAKE, Calif. – A massive wildfire in Northern California has torched more than 1,000 homes in and around the city of Redding, authorities said Wednesday as some evacuees were allowed to return home and new blazes exploded in what has become an endless summer of flame in the Golden State. "Whatever resources are needed, we're putting them there," Gov. Jerry Brown said at a news conference. "We're being surprised. Every year is teaching the fire authorities new lessons. We're in uncharted territory." Just a month into the budget year, the state has already spent more than one-quarter of its annual fire budget, at least $125 million, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection spokesman Mike Mohler said. Cal Fire said another 488 buildings, including barns and warehouses, have also been destroyed by the fire, which is now the sixth most destructive in California history. The 121,000-acre Reddingarea blaze, which started July 23, forced 38,000 people from their homes and killed six. It has scorched 189 square miles (490 square kilometers) and is 35 percent contained. Thousands of people in Canada have been forced to evacuate their homes as hundreds of wildfires burn across the country. Thick smoke is being sent as far south as the US state of Colorado, according to officials. Fires are burning in parts of British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. In Saskatchewan, more than 13,000 people have been forced to evacuate from their homes. The number is set to increase as further evacuation orders have been given to 60 communities in the province, according to a statement from the province's government. The statement added that there are 118 wildfires raging in the province. According to local media, homes have been destroyed along with other private and public owned properties. Several hundred firefighters have been deployed since Wednesday and another 1,400 are training to be deployed to the hotspots, MP Randy Hoback said. Blazes are burning in other parts of the country, including the provinces of British Columbia and Alberta. On Wednesday, 62 firefighters from Mexico were going to Alberta to help battle 92 wildfires, including 33 listed as "out of control." With more than 180 fires raging in British Colombia, the province was also bringing in crews from Australia to fight the fires. The smoke has reached about 1,000 miles (1,600 kilometers) south, and smoke advisories have been issued in US cities such as Denver, Boulder and Colorado Springs. Since last week, when the fires began, at least one firefighter has been killed. Intermingling with the kuffaar has completely desensitized the Imaan of Muslims. All Imaani inhibitions for kufr, fisq and fujoor have been effaced from the hearts of the vast majority of the Muslim Ummah. Socializing, fraternizing, dining and frolicking with them have become completely acceptable. But these spiritually destructive activities are severely proscribed in the Qur'aan and Ahaadith which state that those who befriend and fraternize with the kuffaar are of them. Muslims are no longer concerned with the harm they are causing their Imaan by consuming the foods of nonMuslims. Even if the food is halaal, it should not be accepted from the hands of nonMuslims whom the Qur'aan describe as "Rijs", nor should their utensils be utilized even after having been washed. While washing cleanses the utensils from physical impurities, the athar (effect/ impression) of kufr remains and constitutes a spiritual detriment. Even when going for Hajj and Umrah, Muslims conduct themselves as non-Muslims on the planes, especially regarding food. They consume the haraam food served in kuffaar utensils by the hands of immoral personnel. Imaan cannot withstand such assaults which contaminate and emaciate it. Imaan is a valuable and an extremely delicate treasure which is quickly affected and darkened by Rijs –filth – whether physical or spiritual. The skins of wild beasts if tanned and treated are halaal and taahir (clean). Nevertheless, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) forbade sitting on it because the beastly athar remains in the skins and this can adversely affect the spirituality of the Muslim. Yet Muslims eat from the very same utensils in which haram food, pork and wine are served. This is the norm on planes, in hotels and other public venues where Muslims frequent and acquit themselves in kuffaar manner. The plane journey is a few hours. There is no imperative need to constrain eating from the contaminated utensils. Muslims should take along lunch for the journey, and refrain from eating anything of the food served on the plane. The importance of halaal and tayyib food can be understood from the Qur'aanic Aayat: "O Rusul (Messengers)! Consume halaal-tayyib (foods) and do virtuous deeds." The ingestion of contaminated food even if halaal from the legal (Fiqhi) angle, pollutes Imaan and destroy the spiritual fibre of the Mu'min. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Soon will come the time when the (kuffaar) nations will call one another against you (to devour you) as people are invited to a feast (to devour the food)." Someone asked: 'Will it on that day be because of our small number?' Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "On the contrary, you will be numerous, but you will be ghutha (rubbish/trash) like the ghutha of flood waters. Most certainly, Allah will eliminate from the hearts of your ene- mies fear for you, and He will instil in your hearts Wahan." The person asked: 'What is Wahan?' Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Love of the dunya and dislike for Maut." This Hadith aptly and adequately portrays the condition and situation of the Ummah of this age. The Deen has been expunged from the lives of Muslims, hence Allah Ta'ala has imposed on the Ummah the punishment of kuffaar domination. A Palestinian Brother writes: Question My question is about renting here in Palestine. People rent places for 5 Dinars which is about $7 a month. This was the rent maybe 40 or 50 or 60 years ago. If I rent a place and the owner said that my rent will be $5, but there's no written contract and there's no time specified, can I as a property owner demand possession of my property anytime or not? Here in Palestine, according to the system you pay that rent for the rest of your life and the life of your children and your grandchildren and so forth. The owner of the property basically no longer really owns it. He only gets $5 a month. Also, in the next scenario, if the rent was specified and the contract was for one year and it automatically just kept on renewing every year, can I just ask for possession of my property at any time I wish? In Palestine you basically have to beg those people to leave and in some cases they demand up to $300,000. Only then will they vacate the premises. The government here backs them. You are not allowed to tell him to leave or touch them or say anything to them. They basically become the 'owners' of your property. The government does use the excuse of lack of housing, but this is not so because the people who own these properties are willing to help these people move into other apartments and they are prepared to even spend money to help them. But their motive is to extort outrageous amounts of money from the owners. Furthermore, more than half of them, if not 75% of them, are able to move to other apartments and pay rent. There are plenty of apartments being built. For example one man has 4 apartments that he built. Two or three of the tenants are in fact in the United States with their children. They are earning much money, but they just insist on holding on to the apartment knowing that they will receive large amounts of money by hook or crook from the owner. Plus, the people who are renting refuse to pay a fair rent. I am talking about commercial and non-commercial. There are people who are renting commercial properties for 50 Dinars which is about $75 while the property is worth a million dollars. They conduct lucrative businesses and coining plenty money. Although they are able to pay the fair rental price, they refuse. So basically the excuse is that these people are living in a harsh time and that we cannot just throw people in the street but this is not really the case. It is a baseless excuse to perpetu- ate the system of extortion. Please comment. ANSWER The system in Palestine is zulm (injustice and oppression), and this is haraam. The authorities are aiding the usurpers in their criminal acts of usurpation of the properties of others. According to the Hadith, on the Day of Qiyaamah, the usurped property together with the entire land as far as it reaches into the bowels of the earth will be made into a weight and strung around the neck of the usurpers. According to the Shariah, it is permissible for the owners to evict the unscrupulous tenants although the unscrupulous authorities will not allow it. They too will be joined with the usurpers on the Day of Qiyaamah to suffer the punishment. The exorbitant amounts of money the tenants are demanding for returning the properties to the owners are haraam oppression. Every cent of the money paid to them is haraam. They are in reality ingesting the Fire of Jahannam into their bodies. This vile oppression and injustice perpetrated by both the people of Palestine and the government are contributory for the Yahudi oppression in Palestine. Another contributo- ry evil is the widespread debauchery to Allah's Law of Meeraath (Inheritance) which is a norm in Palestine. They oppress their own people in these villainous haraam ways, then they complain and lament about Israeli oppression. In fact, Yahudi oppression is Allah's punishment for the people who have practically abandoned Islam. Kuffaar domination over Muslims is a form of Allah's punishment which is explicitly mentioned in the Qur'aan and Hadith. It is Allah's Sunnah. The Qur'aan states: "You will not find for the Sunnah of Allah a change." Added to these acts and system of oppression and injustice, there is widespread prevalence of fisq and fujoor in Palestine just as these evils are prevalent in all Muslim countries and in all Muslim communities in non-Muslim countries. These are all the causes for Allah's Punishment settling on the Ummah. No one should wonder why Allah's Nusrat (Aid) is not with Muslims. His aid will be with the Ummah only if Muslims return to the Sunnah of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam). In the Qur'aan Majeed, Allah Ta'ala says: "If you aid (the Deen of) Allah, He will aid you and plant your feet firmly (against your enemies." According to press reports, recently 'burqa-clad' bombers bombed a Shiah temple in Afghanistan, killing 29, and wounding more than 80. Although this atrocity has been attributed to the Taliban by the anti-Islam cartel, the Taliban have denied involvement. It is essential to understand that the Taliban do not perpetrate such monstrous atrocities. During the era of the Taliban's rule of Afghanistan, not a single Shiah temple was targeted nor closed down. Not a single Shiah can claim that Shiahs were molested in any way whatever during the Taliban rule. The burqa-clad bombers are a gang hired by Western sinister forces to perpetuate the destabilization of the country. Destabilization enables the U.S. invaders to retain a foothold in the land for accomplishing its own sinister motives and plots. It is not part of Taliban strategy to clad any of their Mujahideen in female garments. Such acts and atrocities serve the evil motives and interests of only the enemy. The kufr Saudi Najdi regime, licking from the dregs at the bottom of the barrel of Haraam, has imposed a 5% VAT on Zamzam Water. For thousands of years Allah Ta'ala has provided this wonderful Water free for millions of people. But today, this Saudi kufr regime, grovelling at the boots of Trump is scrounging for money in haraam ways. Despite the trillions of dollars yielded by the oil which it has usurped, and despite the billions it earns in haraam ways from having commercialized and im- moralized Hajj and Umrah, the Saudis are scrounging for money, hence the 5% haraam tax on Zamzam Water. The kufrization and immoralization of the land, the commercialization of Hajj and Umrah, and the brutality perpetrated in Yemen and even in the country with oppression and injustice are all the signs for Allah's Athaab to descend and destroy the Oppressors. The Mashaaikh say that an empire can endure with kufr, but not with zulm. Q. A Brother disagrees with your appraisal of the fate that the Muslims of Spain had suffered. He mentions the great contributions the Muslims of Spain had made to medicine and science in general A. The Brother spoke bunkum. He lacks in Deeni knowledge and understanding. Instead of expressing gratitude for Allah's bounties by means of increased obedience, they offered 'thanks' by excreting in the very plates they ate. They displayed gross and callous ingratitude with fisq, fujoor, bid'ah and kufr. Their palace ulama halaalized the statues of the royal family which were mounted in the public. They legalized this worst aspect of idolatry. They had degenerated into the dregs of immorality and villainy. The Brother is in denial of the Qur'aan in which Allah Azza Wa Jal says: "That (Punishment) is because of what their hands had sent forth. Verily, Allah does not oppress (His) servants. It (the disobedient lifestyle) was like the ways of the people of Fir'oun and those before them. They committed kufr with the Aayaat of Allah. Then Allah apprehended them on account of their sins. Verily, Allah, is Most powerful and stern. That (Punishment) is because, verily, Allah does not change a Bounty which He has bestowed to a people until they (themselves) change what is within them- selves (that is, their beliefs, attitudes and deeds). Like the ways of the people of Fir'oun and those before them. They belied the Aayaat of their Rabb, therefore We destroyed Them on account of their sins, and We drowned the people of Fir'oun. They all were zaalimeen. Verily, the worst of creatures by Allah are the kuffaar. Thus, they do not believe." (Al-Anfaal, Aayaat 52 – 55) Again, Allah Ta'ala says: "Verily, Allah will not change that (Bounty) which is with a people until they (themselves) change what is within them- selves. And, when Allah decrees a pun- ishment, then there is nothing to thwart it." (Ar-Ra'd, Aayat 11) The power, pomp and prosperity enjoyed by the Muslims during their reign of Spain, were undoubtedly the Favours of Allah Ta'ala. No one can deny that all these Ni'maat were snatched away. Who snatched away the Bounties which Allah Ta'ala had bestowed to the Muslims of Spain? No one other than Allah Azza Wa Jal. The reason for snatching away His Bounties is stated with utmost clarity in the aforementioned Qur'aanic verses and in numerous Ahaadith. Only stupid brothers are in denial of what Allah Ta'ala Himself says. A Brother from Nigeria writes: Re:- Release of Dapchi Girls: more Questions than Answers We are humbly writing to inform you of the release of 104 Dapchi Girls abducted recently by Boko Haram in Nigeria. Since February 19, when 10 students of government Girls Technical school, Dapchi, Yobe State were abducted by members of the terrorist Boko Haram, the country has been treated to a continuous salad of absurdities. From the quite revealing student credited to, but since denied by the minister of Defence, Mansur Dan Ali that the girls would be released in two weeks time, the statement by the minister of information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, that no ransom was paid to secure the girls release, and the statement by President Muhammadu Buhari that his administration has been more responsible that the immediate past government, among others, Nigerians have been to what amounts to complete travesty by the federal Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. While we welcome the release of 104 Dapchi girls and and rejoice with their parents, we can- not but ask questions regarding the entire Dapchi episode. What was the role of the security agencies in the whole abduction and return saga? Why did the military vacate the area shortly before the abduction? Is there any truth to the claim by Amnesty international that army and the police were warned that Boko Haram would abduct the girls but made no attempt to stop them? If, as is common knowledge, there is only one road linking Damaturu to Gaidam through Dapchi, which route did the abductor take? How long would it take the military to counter the abduction since its barracks in Gaidam is only a few kilometres away from the schools? The government insists that Boko Haram does not control any territory within Nigeria, but how was it possible for the same group to keep more that 100 girls under its watch, against their will, and for almost one month, without the Nigerian security agencies having a whiff of where they were kept? And if the security agencies did not know where the girls were kept, how were the negotiations for their return car- ried out? Where did the girls emerge from on the day they were returned? If Boko Haram had to transport the girls on the day of the abduction and also on the day they were returned in a convoy of vehicles, why was it impossible or difficult for the Nigerian security forces to trace such convoys? And after the return of the girls, where did the Boko Haram contingent disappear into? How easy would it be for any terrorist group to operate freely within the territory of security forces ostensibly still fighting it and abduct more than 100 girls without any response from the so-called security forces? Which security forces would allow themselves to be treated the way Boko Haram treated the nation's security outfits in this abduction saga? Again, which population would henceforth trust the security agencies with their protection after this saga? What is the overall implication of the current saga for the role and responsibility of the Nigerian government in the protection and security of its citizens? What does this saga say or tell the nation about the gain and attraction for further kidnapping and abduction by Boko Haram group given the obvious benefits derived from the Dapchi abduction, if only in terms of publicity? Although the government maintains that it did not pay ransom for return of the girls, could Boko Haram have returned the girls after its investment in their abduction without getting anything concrete in return? If, as indicated by the government, the same group of persons that negotiated the release of some CHIBOK girls negotiated the release of 104 Dapchi girls, why are the rest of the Chibok girls not back yet? Why was it relatively easy to rescue the Dapchi girls but up till now, the majority of the Chibok girls kidnapped in 2014 are yet to be found? Q. Ulama have been invited by the Saudi king to perform Hajj 2018. Is it acceptable for our Ulama to accept an allexpenses paid Haj by the king of Saudi Arabia? A. The Saudi regime grants courtesy visas for Hajj called Mujammal. A few hundred Mujammal visas have been issued to South Africa. The motive underlying these free cour- tesy visas is quite obvious. It is for buying goodwill and support. The Saudi regime is scrounging for moral support. Although these visas are supposed to be free, and are doled out selectively, a substantial number – hundredsare sold for exorbitant sums. The wealthy are paying thousands of rands for these visas. The embassy staff is operating a haraam racket with these visas. In fact, the entire Hajj and Umrah system is a commercialized racket. It is not permissible for the Ulama as well as for laymen to accept the haraam gifts of the zaalim Saudi king who is a murtad. He has abolished the Shariah and substituted it with kufr, fisq and fujoor acquired from the U.S.A. Those molvis and sheikhs who will scramble for the Saudi perk are bootlicking ulamae-soo'. This is what the people lacking in Imaan say and believe: "The only window of hope for Gaza, in addition to our own mass mobilisation, lies in the growing BDS campaign. At the beginning of the second Intifada in 2000, I wrote the following: Gaza has become a war-zone: the biggest concentration camp on the surface of Earth has become a burial site – a noisy graveyard. The Palestinian body has become the ultimate target of the Israeli bullet - the younger the better (Sara, a twoyear-old girl from Nablus was also shot in the head.) When asked by a Sahaabi: "On that day will it be because of our small number?" Nabi (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "On the contrary, you will be innumerable. But you will be Rubbish like the rubbish of floodwaters. Allah will eliminate from the hearts of your enemies fear for you, and He will instill in you Wahan." A Sahaabi asked: "What is Wahan?" Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Love of the world and dislike for Maut." They agree that no political solution can be achieved without the implementation of the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 194, which calls for the right of Palestinian refugees to return to the villages and cities from which they were ethnically cleansed back in 1948. (The United Nations is your god of shirk. The Palestinians and the United Nations with its stupid and hollow resolutions are all empty vessels full of sound and fury signifying nothing. You cannot be a Muslim if your focus is on a rotten kuffaar structure such as the United Nations. You are, furthermore, too stupid to understand the complicity and conspiracy of the United Nations which is the handmaid of the U.S.A. and the Western powers.) In Gaza, we know that Israel is going to get away with it, simply because it has never been held to account for any of the massacres it has committed; we also know that it is going to commit more and worse crimes. (No one will be able to hold Israel to account for the simple reason that Allah Ta'ala has imposed Israeli oppression as a punishment for the Palestinians. Only when the Palestinians become morally reformed, and submit to the Shariah, will Allah Ta'ala obliterate Israel. Hadhrat Abu Dardaa' (Radhiyallahu anhu) narrated the following Hadith: "Be steadfast in Amr Bil Ma'roof Nahyi Anil Munkar otherwise Allah Ta'ala will impose on you cruel oppressive rulers who will show no respect for your elders nor any mercy for your little ones. Then the pious among you will supplicate (make dua), but it will not be accepted. You will supplicate for aid (from Allah), but you will then not be aided."–AlHaq) Hasn't the ESCWA report proven beyond any doubt that Israel is committing the crime of apartheid against the indigenous people of Palestine? We also know that it would not have been able to carry out all these crimes without support from the United States and the so-called international community. We, therefore, have lost hope in official bodies such as the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. Instead, we are counting on international civil society to put an end to this ongoing bloodbath committed by apartheid Israel in broad day light. Fisq, fujoor, bid'ah and kufr are the consequences of their jahaalat. What is being observed in the Syrian scenario today is 100% the Athaab of Allah Azza Wa Jal. The only solution for the deplorable, despicable and lamentable situation in which the Ummah, world-wide, is grovelling in abject humiliation, licking the boots of the kuffaar, is to divert the focus from the kuffaar, their ways and their institutions, and to answer the Call of Allah Azza Wa Jal. In the Qur'aan Majeed Allah Ta'ala says: "Allah has promised those who believe (have valid Imaan) among you and who practise virtuous deeds (A'maal Saalihaat) that He will make them the rulers on earth just as He had made those before them the rulers. And, He will establish for them (i.e. the Pious Mu'mineen) their Deen with which He is pleased, and He will substitute their fear with safety. They worship (only) Me and they do not associate anyone with Me. Those who commit kufr after this, verily, they are the faasiqoon. Establish Salaat, pay Zakaat and obey the Rasool for so that mercy shall be shown to you." (An-Noor, 55, 56) Instead of adopting this Qur'aanic prescription for success and victory over the kuffaar, Muslims who are Muslim merely in name, grovel at the feet of the kuffaar licking their boots for aid and succour. But Allah warning us, says: "The Mu'minoon should not take as friends the kaafireen besides the Mu'mineen." There are many Aayaat in the Qur'aan Majeed and Hadith narrations warning us from the disgraceful act of befriending the kuffaar and grovelling at their feet. The degree of demoralization in the Palestinians, the Kashmiris, the Syrians as well as other Muslim communities has turned them away from Allah Ta'ala. Their lifestyle and their attitudes bear vociferous testimony for the kufr which they have adopted despite professing to be Muslims. The Qur'aan is meaningless for them. It has become an antique relic. Thus the promises of Allah Ta'ala have no meaning and no reality for Muslims of this era. The Qur'aan states emphatically and explicitly: "Say: O Allah Maalikul Mulk (The King of kings)? You grant sovereignty (political power) to whomever You will, and You snatch away sovereignty from whomever You will. You honour whomever You will and You disgrace whomever You will. Goodness is in Your Hand. Verily, You are All-Powerful over all things." (Aal Imraan, Aayat 26) For the desired victory over the kuffaar, the Qur'aan com- mands: "Turn with repentance all of you, O Believers! so that you attain victory." Our success is in Inaabat Ilallaah (to turn in repentance and obedience to Allah Ta'ala). Inaabat does not mean the type of Qunoot Naazilah which a stupid Ummah performs with ostentation – a prayer devoid of sincerity, spirit and even Sunnah methodology. The solution for our lamentable plight is not boycotts, shouting slogans, looking askance at kuffaar, and railing against the Chastisement which Allah Azza Wa Jal inflicts on us by way of kuffaar domination. Whenever the kuffaar have the upperhand over us, then it is imperative for Muslims to understand and see the Hand of Allah Azza Wa Jal operating. The oppression of the kuffaar is Allah's punishment for the oppression which Muslims inflict on themselves. the cause for Muslim humiliation at the boots of the kuffaar. No country, no institution and no international civil society will be able to aid the Palestinians. All are shadows. Enter into the fold of Islam, or re-enter. Rectify your Imaan, and the mystery of Muslim humiliation and defeat will be unraveled. Your brains will then clear up to understand the truth. – AlHaq) The tool? Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) until Israel complies with International Law. (These tools and their organizers are stupid. They are all morons bereft of Imaan, hence their tools will not have any impact on Israel as long as Allah Ta'ala sustains it as a punishment for the Palestinians. – Al-Haq) Forget about meaningless negotiations that have proven to be disastrous, as the late Edward Said had rightly predicted back in 1994; forget about the racist two state solution that has been shot in the head by Israel itself and which fails to deal with the core of the Palestinian question, namely, 6-7 million refugees insisting on asserting their UNstipulated right of return. The only window of hope, in addition to our own mass mobilisation, lies in the growing BDS campaign supported by conscious people all over the world. They understand that our struggle is non-sectarian, one that is enshrined in the basic principles of the International Declaration of Human Rights, no matter how hard hypocritical Western Media tries to conceal the truth. Do not allow fear for his (the ruler's) sword and whip to prevent you from commanding the Taqwa of Allah." Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Beware of the doors of the Sultan. (i.e. Do not visit rulers). Beware of the doors of the rulers and its environs, for verily the one who is the closest to it, is the furthest from Allah. He who gives preference to the sultan over Allah, Allah will cast fitnah in his heart, inside and outside. Allah will eliminate from him taqwa and leave him in bewilderment." Q. Is Khidmatul Awaam a charitable organization? It proclaims itself to be a non-profit body dedicated to serve the Hujjaaj A. Khidmatul Awaam is never a non-profit organization nor is it dedicated to serve the Hujjaaj. It is a money-making outfit. It has appropriated for itself the deceptive title of 'Khidmatul Awaam' which means service to the public. This is extremely misleading. This outfit has millions of rands in its bank account. What it does with all of this 'profit' acquired falsely, is not known. But what is certain is that it is not a non-profit outfit nor is it rendering service to the Hujjaaj for Allah's Pleasure as the notion is traded. One of the Hujjaaj has the following complaint: During this Hajj about 1,200 Hujjaaj who were with the Khidmatul Awaam organization, were subjected to great inconvenience and frustration by its incompetence. On the 10th when all the Hujjaaj were eager to be released from Ihraam, Khidmatul Awaam had only one slaughterer to slaughter 1300 animals. As a result of this incompetence, only about 500 Hujjaaj managed to come out of Ihraam. The rest had to wait for the next day. Although they charge the full price, making a fat profit, they acted very incompetently. CHRISTIAN SAVAGERY There are not words in the dictionary to adequately describe the savagery and brutality of the Christian church. In an article in the Weekend Post, the writer, Peter Woods, states: "Here is an excerpt from the actual sentence handed down to the famous British martyr Thomas More (1478-1535). "Sir Thomas More, you are to be drawn on a hurdle through the City of London to Tyburn, there to be hanged till you be half dead, after that cut down yet alive, your bowels to be taken out of your body and burned be- fore you, your privy parts cut off, your head cut off, your body to be divided in four parts, and your head and body to be set at such places as the King shall assign." The king was Henry VIII. More had opposed the king's separation from the Catholic Church, refusing to acknowledge him as Supreme Head of the Church of England and refusing to acknowledge Henry's annulment of his marriage to Catherine of Aragon. After refusing to take the Oath of Supremacy, More was convicted of treason and executed as detailed above." The recent Tsunami and earthquake caused thousands of deaths and wrought havoc. A report states: "Hundreds of people had gathered for a festival on Palu's beach when the water surged. The tsunami had travelled across the sea at speeds of 800km/h. Water bearing whirls of debris rushing in as people shouted in alarm and scattered. Questions have been raised about what caused the tsunami……" The Cause is Allah Azza Wa Jal, and the reason for the disaster is the evil and immorality of the people. Allah Ta'ala says in the Qur'aan Majeed: "What! Are the people of the towns confident that Our punishment (will not strike) them whilst they are at play (and amusing themselves in their festivals of immorality)?" Muslims or supposed Muslims are looking askance at the kuffaar for succour and aid. They believe that the 'only window of hope' Muslims lying in the gutters of humiliation have is in "mass mobilisation", in the imaginary "growing campaign", in the kuffaar concept of human rights as enshrined in the "International Declaration of Human Rights", and in perhaps some other figments fabricated by brains wallowing in najaasat and janaabat. The views of a Palestinian appearing elsewhere in these pages abundantly testify for the egregious drift from Islam of these pseudo-Muslims who find honour in bootlicking the kuffaar without understanding that all kufr is one breed, and all kuffaar are aligned against Islam and the Ummah. There is never any aid from any of the kuffaar sources enumerated above. Aid for Muslims is from only Allah Azza Wa Jal Who declares in the Qur'aan Majeed: "And, if Allah aids you, then there is no one who can defeat you. And, if He withdraws aid from you, then who is there to aid you besides Allah." Those who lack understanding of the Qur'aan, have diverted their focus completely from the solution prescribed by Allah Ta'ala. Drawing their attention to their misdirection and diversion from the Deen, the Qur'aan warns and asks them: "Give tidings to the munaafiqeen that verily for them there is a painful chastisement. (They—the munaafiqeen) are those who take as friends the kaafireen besides the Mu'mineen. What! Do they search for honour by them. Verily all Izzat (honour) belongs to Allah." (An-Nisaa', Aayat 139) When "muslims" crawl behind the kuffaar and their institutions such as the U.N., BDS, International Declaration of Human Rights, etc., then such crawling is a conspicuous manifestation of the signs of Nifaaq (Hypocrisy). While Allah Ta'ala commands in the Qur'aan: "Seek aid with Sabr and Salaat." (i.e. with total sub- mission to His Commands), these miscreant 'muslims' seek aid from the kuffaar. Their Imaan is extinguished, hence they lack even the haziest idea of Divine Aid. While these miscreants run behind the kuffaar, truckling and begging disgracefully, the Qur'aan Majeed, reprimanding them says: "What! Do you search for the law of Jaahiliyyah? Whose law is more beautiful than the Law of Allah for people who have Yaqeen (firm and genuine Imaan)?" (Al-Maaidah, Aayat 50) "O People of Imaan! Do not take the Yahood and Nasaara as friends. They are friends to one another. Whoever from among you who befriends them, then verily, he is of them. Verily, Allah does not guide a nation of transgressors." (Al-Maaidah, Aayat 51) More than 70 years have passed in misery, oppression and humiliation for the Palestinians, Kashmiris, Rohingya Muslims and Indian Muslims of India. Despite all the stupid, meaningless and toothless UN resolutions and the noises made by other 'human rights' outfits, the humiliation and misery of these Muslims have multiplied manifold. Now, even all so-called Muslim states have abandoned the oppressed Muslims. In fact, most so-called Muslim states actively collude with the U.S., Israel, India, etc. to trample on the oppressed Muslim communities. The very first step which is required of Muslims, is the elimination of self-oppression – the oppression of sin of fisq, fujoor, bid'ah and kufr. Only then will Allah's Nusrat arrive. Muslims must accept that what Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said is the irrefutable and the divine Truth. About the condition of the Ummah of this era, our Nabi (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said that we will become "Ghutha (Rubbish) such as the ghutha of floodwaters", and Allah Ta'ala will "eliminate from the hearts of your enemies fear for you", and Allah Ta'ala will overwhelm us with fear for the kuffaar because of our "love for the dunya". Hadhrat Ali (Radhiyallahu anhu) narrated that (during a battle) in the hand of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) was an Arabian bow. When he saw a man with a Persian bow, he said: "What is this? Throw it away and make this and its like (i.e. the Arabian bow) obligatory on you, and (also) the spear, for verily, with these two Allah will increase for you in the Deen, and establish you in the lands (i.e. grant you victory)." I n another Hadith, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said to the man with the Persian bow: "O man with the bow! Throw it away, for verily its bearer is accursed (Maloon)." This Hadith emphasizes the degree of prohibition of Tashabbuh Bil Kuffaar (imitating/emulating the kuffaar and their ways and methods). In another narration it is mentioned that despite the Sahaabi explaining that the Persian bow was more accurate than the Arabian bow, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) ordered him to discard the Persian weapon and to take the Arabian bow. In this command Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) imparted the lesson of selfsufficiency and Tawakkul on Allah Ta'ala. Reliance should not be placed on the kuffaar, especially for weapons of Jihad. The lesson is that Muslims themselves should develop more accurate and better weaponry than the kuffaar. Why was the Persian bow more accurate than the Arabian bow? Reliance on kuffaar weapons is fraught with disaster. Firstly, Muslims will become dependent on the enemy for weapons. Whilst, they will sell billions of dollars of weapons to Muslims when it suits them, the dangers are: a. The quality will be inferior b. Besides inferiority, the mechanisms (and this applies greatly to sophisticated weaponry of this technological era) are tampered with and set to malfunction and render the firing inaccurate. c. Muslims will become indo- lent and stupid in this sphere. They will lack the ability to manufacture their own weapons. d. In times of hostility, the kuffaar will obviously not supply the much-needed weapons and spare parts. e. There will be no home- industry to manufacture weapons. Thus denying employment for thousands of Muslims. Besides these worldly disad- vantages, the other great benefit in Muslim-produced weapons, is the Nusrat (Aid) of Allah Ta'ala. Today, the more than 50 Muslim states are almost 100% reliant on the kuffaar for weapons which they are incapable of using against enemy countries such as Israel, India, etc. Rather they utilize most of their imported weapons against their own unarmed populations, and other Muslim communities. The brutal Saudi regime is the prime example of a so-called Muslim state brutalizing Muslims in Yemen with kuffaar weaponry. All the armies, airforces and navies of dozens of so-called Muslim states are hopelessly impotent against the tiny backyard, U.S. surrogate state of Israel. This is the consequence and the fruit of Tashabbuh Bil Kuffaar. A Brother writes: I received the latest copy of Al Haqq in my post box last week but only opened it this morning. What we need to realise is that the Chinese themselves have never been communists before. They used to practice Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, etc. The actual culprits behind the adoption of communism in China are none other than Zionist Jews. Currently, the official stance of the CCP is that there is no restriction with regard to religion but they are going all out to ensure the younger generation of Uighur Muslims have little or no knowledge about Islam so that in future, the next generations will become atheists like most Chinese. The Uighurs main sin is that they want independence from China but because their land is rich in mineral & natural re- sources, the communists wont let that happen. With regard to what's going on in China today, I have been thinking about what we can do to help these Uighur muslims besides making duaa for them. We have so many Muslims who buy container loads of goods from China. If all of them had to put pressure on their suppliers to get their government to stop persecuting these people, I am sure it will have some effect. Imagine if ALL muslim businesses around the world did this! No matter how powerful the Chinese are, this will make them rethink their actions. But alas! While most Muslim businessmen give lots of charity, they are afraid to speak out. Maybe Al-Haq can suggest this. It is sad that almost all the news and information about what China is doing in Xinjiang comes from nonMuslims and its only after a while that Muslim media outlets begin paying any attention and begin educating the Ummah at large about this important issue. A group of European tourists was taken on a tour of a neighbourhood in Xinjiang. Their guide was most likely a government agent, took them to selected areas. A German man in the group said that he had visited the same area a few years before and it was full of Muslim tradesmen but now all those buildings & stores have been demolished. There remain just a few shops for show. The Chinese Muslims are afraid to speak out honestly because once the tour groups leave, they will be punished by the Chinese government for speaking out. (End of letter) While we are grieved at the plight of the Chinese Muslims and of Muslims all over the world, we should not lose sight of the actual cause of the misery and humiliation which have overwhelmed Muslims throughout the world, not only in China. Allah Ta'ala states explicitly in the Qur'aan Majeed that He will not change the condition of people as long as they do not change what is within them. In otherwords, when Muslims themselves substitute their obedience with disobedience – when they flagrantly violate Allah's Shariah – when they abandon the Sunnah and adopt in its place the lifestyle and culture of the kuffaar, then Allah's decree of Athaab (Punishment) is established. In many Qur'aanic Aayaat and Ahaadith Muslims are warned of Allah's punishment which will be unleashed when they transgress all bounds of villainy. One form of Allah's Athaab is kuffaar domination. Allah Azza Wa Jal harnesses into action His kuffaar 'servants' to overrun, pillage, plunder and humiliate Muslims who not only flagrantly violate the Deen, making it their way of life, but in reality abandon the Deen and ruin their Imaan with kufr. Thus they are humiliated at the hands of the kuffaar. This is standard Divine Procedure which the Qur'aan Majeed repeatedly states: "And, for the Sunnah of Allah, you will not find a change." However, these Qur'aanic and Hadith warnings have only antique significance for Muslims. They adopt a scoffing attitude when their attention is drawn to Allah's Warnings. No one, not even the Ulama of this age, understand the reality of the Warnings of Allah Ta'ala. It is our standard reaction to blame the kuffaar, especially the Yahood, for our plight which is in fact self-invited. It is unintelligent to blame Shaitaan for the sins we commit. A man cannot justify his fornication, consumption of pork and liquor by making Shaitaan a scapegoat. Shaitaan performs his functions. Allah Ta'ala has warned us to steer clear of Iblees. It is therefore ludicrous to shift the blame to Shaitaan, to the Yahood or other kuffaar when they execute their functions of pillaging and plundering us – obligation which Allah Ta'ala imposes on them. The Qur'aan and Ahaadith mention this fact with the greatest clarity. But Muslims nowadays lack Imaan. Their brains have become fossilized due to the corrosion and erosion of their Imaan brought about by wickedness and villainy perpetrated on the Deen. Since Muslims are pillaging and plundering Islam with fisq, fujoor, bid'ah and kufr, the fitting Divine Chastisement for such heinous crimes is to be pillaged and plundered by the kuffaar. While the Brother's suggestion of boycotting China is valid, it is a pipe-dream. Money has greater importance and greater love for the wretched Muslim Ummah of this age than the plight of the suffering Muslims. Affluent Muslims will squander millions of dollars courting the Wrath of Allah Azza Wa Jal with gross transgressions and indulgence in haraam. But, their concern for the suffering Muslims does not extend beyond their lips. The Brotherhood of the Ummah has no meaning for Muslims of today. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Muslims are like one man. If the head pains, the entire body is affected, and if the eye pains, the entire body is affected." Today this is meaningless for Muslims. As a community, Muslims will not be prepared to boycott Chinese, American and Indian goods. Money is the concern. They will raise vociferous slogans about boycotting Israel. But these slogans are all hollow and hypocritical. They do not trade with Israel, hence calling for a boycott is a lot of hogwash. Regardless of any measures or action which Muslims can contemplate of, everything is doomed as long as Allah's aid is not with us. Such aid is dependent on obedience. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "That which is by Allah can be acquired only by means of obedience." And, Allah Ta'ala says in the Qur'aan Majeed: "If you aid (the Deen of) Allah, He will aid you, and He will plant your feet firmly (against your enemies)." "If Allah helps you, no one can defeat you. And, if He withdraws (aid) from you, then who is there besides Allah to help you?" Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "The Hour (of Qiyaamah) will not come except when idols will be worshipped in the Mihraabs (of the Musaajid)." This prediction of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) has already materialized in the kufr state of Egypt where the Christian Cross was placed in the Mihraab of the Musjid and Salaat was performed facing this symbol of shirk. The Moroccan Shaikh Abul Faidh Ahmad Al-Ghumaari mentioning this episode of shirk, states in his book, AlIkhtiraa-aatul Asriyyah: "Mustafa Al-Qayaati who is among the teachers at Al-Azhar said: 'Sa'd (i.e. the Murtad, Sa'd Zaghlul who had founded the nationalist movement in Egypt) is superior to Nabi (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam). He has brought with him what the Nabi (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) did not bring, and most certainly he is the national rasool (prophet of Egypt). This La-een (i.e. the Accursed Murtad Sa'd) was among them (in that gathering in the Musjid). He (the vile teacher from Azhar) took the cross and placed it in the Mihraab of the (Musjid) of Azhar and stood up. May Allah curse him. Then he supplicated (made dua) for the unification of Islam and Coptic Christianity. He called those present to perform two raka'ts salaat in congregation whilst the cross was in the Mihraab. He recited the takbeer and performed two raka'ts salaat with the cross in front of him. May Allah Ta'ala curse him." This act of worshipping the cross occurred in the 1920's. The next known act of crossworship was by the South African, Reverend Abraham Bham of the NNB jamiat of Fordsburg about a decade ago. (NNB stands for No Name Brand). This reverend of the cross masquerades as a 'Muslim' and a 'Maulana'. There are salubrious lessons for the Ummah in the lives of the Sahaabah. The story of Hadhrat Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu) appearing in these pages provides us with the following lessons and guidance: SIMPLICITY Simplicity in all facets of life is Rasulullah's command. Noteworthy is the extreme simplicity of the appointment of the governor by the Khalifah, Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu an- hu), who ruled half the world at the time. Islam was the dominant world power. There was no parliament of a hundred baboons and donkeys nor any governmental institution to which the Emperor of Islam had to refer to and to submit. He spontaneously appointed Hadhrat Sa-eed as the governor when he was satisfied of his Deeni integrity and ability. And, this was his methodology when appointing and dismissing governors for all the lands conquered by the Sahaabah. While he did consult on issues with other Sahaabah, the evil element of majority vote did not encumber his rule. His decision was final and binding on the entire Ummah from east to west. It was this one man who had singly appointed the first Khalifah, Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddique (Radhiyallahu anhu). The boot-licking attempt of the modernists that the Rulers of Islam were appointed by consensus or major- ity of the Muslimeen is a stupid and baseless canard to please the western kuffaar masters of the zanadaqah. Islam is extremely simple in all its Departments of life. No department of Islamic life, be it government or the private family, is burdened with the satanic systems of kuffaar democracy, socialism, etc. The Islamic system of government is a holy autocracy which administers the Law of Allah Ta'ala –the Shariah. It is the Law of Allah Azza Wa jal which a pious, benevolent Dictator has to administer. Islam is a divine Dictatorship not a moronic democracy in which scoundrels, drunkards, robbers, crooks, bandits, prostitutes, looters, rapists, morons and all the scum in the population collude to appoint rulers who, once in office, oppress the people, loot the public wealth, mete out injustice and suppress the lawful liberties of the population. All rulers are tyrants and robbers. The Islamic system is not satanically encumbered with a cabinet of morons to whom the supreme ruler, the Khalifah, is answerable. The Khalifah is in the truest sense of the word, the Khaadim (Servant) of the people, hence Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) said: "The leader of the nation is their servant." Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) had practically portrayed the implementation of this principle. He was not a recluse living in a cave. He ruled the world. All rulers nowadays are followers of Satan. Shaitaan's law prevails today all over the world, in every country without a single exception. The simplicity of the governor too is admirable. While his extremely simple lifestyle is not the norm for the Ummah, the spirit of that simplicity has to incumbently infused in our lives. We are required by Allah Ta'ala to abandon our haraam opulent lifestyle which consists of haraam lavish spending and shaitaani waste in all our activities whether these are related to our mundane life or our Deeni life. Wasteful holidays, mock umrahs, haraam weddings, haraam functions of fisq and fujoor, wasteful and futile molvi conferences, mass mock -i'tikaafs, Musjids of show in which tens of millions of rands are squandered down the drain, palatial mansions of riya, etc., etc. are haraam activities to be abandoned. Such abandonment is the demand of simplicity for us in this age of corruption in close proximity to Qiyaamah. The simplicity for us in this day is to conduct our lives within the confines of the Shariah. Abstain from haraam, futility, mushtabah and waste. This is the simplicity for us in this day. Wh en Ha d hra t U mar (Radhiyallahu anhu) was appointed the Khalifah, the Sahaabi, Saeed Bin Aamir AlJumaahi (Radhiyallahu anhu) proffered the following naseehat: "O Umar, I advise you to fear Allah regarding the people. Do not fear the people in matters relating to Allah. Do not let your words contradict your actions, for the best words are those accompanied by actions. O Umar, direct your attention to the Muslims, those who are near and far, over whom Allah has placed you. Love for them that which you love for yourself and your family, and dislike for them that which you dislike for yourself and your household. Hasten towards the truth and do not fear criticism when acting for the pleasure of Allah." Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) asked: "Who is able to do that?" Saeed Bin Aamir (Radhiyallahu anhu) replied: "A man of your calibre, O Umar! The man whom Allah has put in charge over the affairs of the Ummah of Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam). The man who does not have anyone between him and Allah, will be able to accomplish this." Impressed with this advice, Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) said: "O Saeed, I am appointing you the governor over the inhabitants of Homs." Hadhrat Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu) said: "O Umar, I beg you in the Name of Allah! Do not put me to trial in this way." Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) became angry and said; "Woe to you! You place this burden of Khilaafat upon my neck, and then you turn away from me! By Allah, I shall not leave you." He then ordered Hadhrat Saeed to accept the governorship of Homs and asked: "Should we not arrange some provision for you?" However, Hadhrat Saeed declined. After some time, a delegation from Homs visited Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu). He asked them to write the names of the poor people in Homs so that he could attend to them. A list of the names was presented to Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu). He observed that in the list also appeared the name of Hadhrat Saeed bin Aamir (Radhiyallahu anhu). "Who is Saeed bin Aamir?" asked Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu). "He is our governor," they replied. In surprise, Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) said: "Is your governor poor?" They responded: "Yes, By Allah! Many days pass without a fire being lit in his home." Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) wept. His beard was drenched with his tears. He gave the delegation a thousand gold coins and said: "Convey my salaams to him, and tell him: "AmeerulMu'mineen has sent this money for your needs." The delegation presented the bag of gold to their Governor, Hadhrat Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu). When he saw that it was gold-coins, he quivered and placed it far away from himself, exclaiming: "We belong to Allah and to Him is our return." His mannerism was as though some calamity had befallen him. His wife hastened to him. Full of concern she asked: "What has happened, O Saeed? Has the AmirulMu'mineen passed away?" "Something worse has happened," he replied. "Have the Muslims been defeated in battle?", his wife asked. Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu) said: "It is worse than that." "What can possibly be worse than that?" his wife queried. "The world has presented itself to me, seeking to destroy my Hereafter, and the trials have become apparent in my own home," Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu) said. " Remove it (i.e. the world) from here," his wife said, unaware of the money. "Will you help me do that?" Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu) asked her. "Yes, I will," she replied. Then Hadhrat Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu) distributed the gold coins to the Fuqara and Masaakeen (poor Muslims). Some time after this incident, Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) visited Syria to observe the condition of its inhabitants. The citizens of Homs came to greet him. He asked them: "What is your opinion of your governor?" They complained to him, mentioning four of Hadhrat Saeed acts of which they disapproved. Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) arranged a meeting at which the Governor and the complainants were present. Then he asked: "What are your complaints?" They said: "He does not attend to us until late in the morning." "What do you say, O Saeed?" After pausing for a while, he said; "By Allah! I am reluctant to discuss this, but now it is necessary. My wife does not have a maid, so I wake up early every morning and I knead the dough for my family. After having baked the bread, I make wudhu and go out to the people." Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) asked the people: "What is your next complaint him?" They said: "He does not respond to anybody at night." "What is your response to this, O Saeed?" Hadhrat Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu) said: "I did not want this to be revealed as well. I devote the day for the people and the night for Allah Ta'ala." Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) asked: "What is your next complaint?" They said: "One day in every month, he does not come to the people." Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) asked: "What is the reason for this, O Saeed?" Hadhrat Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu) responded: "O Amirul-Mu'mineen, I do not have a servant, and I have no clothing besides these that I am wearing. I wash it once every month and wait for it to dry before. Then I go out to the people in the last part of the day." Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) asked: "What is your other complaint?" They replied: "Sometimes, he loses consciousness." Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) asked: "Why is that, O Saeed?" Hadhrat Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu) explained: "I had witnessed the killing of Khubaib bin Adi (Radhiyallahu anhu) while I was still a mushrik. I saw how the Quraysh cut off parts of his body while saying to him; "Don't you wish that Muhammad had been in your place?" He answered; "By Allah, I would not wish to be safe with my wife and children while even a thorn would be pricking Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam). By Allah! When I remember that day and how I did not help him, I fear that Allah may not forgive me. I therefore become unconscious." Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) brimming with gratitude to Allah Ta'ala, exclaimed: "All praises are due to Allah Who has not disappointed me in my opinion of Saeed." He then sent to Hadhrat Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu) one thousand gold coins. When his wife saw it, she said to him; "All praises are due to Allah, Who has enriched us through your service. Buy provisions for us and hire a servant." He said: "Would you like to know what is better than this?" She asked: "What could be better?" Hadhrat Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu) replied; "We return it to Him (i.e. to Allah Ta'ala) Who gave it to us, and we loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan." (As Allah commands in the Qur'aan Majeed). "Yes," she replied. "May you be well rewarded." Then he distributed all the money to the widows, orphans and the poor. These were the Sahaabah – these are the Men of Allah whom the Shiahs brand as munaafiqeen and kuffaar, whom they slander with the vilest litany of derogatory and slanderous epithets. These were the Sahaabah on whom the Structure of Islam is reliant. Muslims should bear in mind this episode of Hadhrat Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu) during their daily activities. While it is not suggested that it is Waajib to emulate Hadhrat Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu) in exactitude, it is undoubtedly, Waajib to conduct our life in the spirit which underlines the lifestyle of Hadhrat Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu), and the Sahaabah in general. So, when a Muslim develops the nafsaani desire to waste in haraam weddings, haraam souks, haraam functions, haraam sports, wasteful mass mock I'tikaafs, haraam qiraa't competitions, mock umrahs and the like whilst the Makhlooq of Allah Ta'ala is suffering in grinding poverty, squalor, hardship and jahaalat, then he/she should bring to mind the devotion and sacrifices of Hadhrat Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu). What did he do with 100% of the gold awarded to him? It is imperative for our life to operate with the Portrait of Hadhrat Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu) and the Sahaabah in general silhouetted in the backdrop. In Islam, the ruler does not sit in an office squandering time and public finances. He does not sit in an office conjecturing plans for looting the public treasury. His obligation is to be on the streets, in contact with the public to see to and to fulfil their needs. The public has direct access to the governor or even to the Emperor (the Khalifah). This was the style of government of the Khulafa-e-Raashideen. Despite being the governor, Hadhrat Saeed (Radhiyallahu anhu) assisted his wife with the household work. She did not present a word of argument when he gave all the gold to the poor. Her intelligence and piety convinced her of the wonderful rewards awaiting them in Jannat for these slight worldly sacrifices. Again, we say that such an attitude displayed by this Lady who was an epitome of Taqwa, is not expected of today's women who have devoted their lives to whatsapp gheebat and other kinds of filth, just as their husbands are addicted to facebook porn. At least it is expected of Muslim wives to be contented with whatever provisions the husband is able to offer. If, despite being a man of wealth, the husband acquits himself niggardly, refusing to fulfil the demands of luxuries of his wife, then she should exercise Sabr and express shukr for what Allah Ta'ala has provided for her. (Radhiyallahu anhu) A Buzroog said that the Auliya of the lofty status of Hadhrat Abdul Qaadir Jilaani (Rahmatullah alayh) and Hadhrat Sufyaan Thauri (Rahmatullah alayh), cannot attain the status of the dust which settled in the nose of the horse of Hadhrat Muawiyah (Radhiyallahu anhu). He presented this analogy to show the extremely lofty rank of a Sahaabi. The Wali of the loftiest status cannot reach the status of that Sahaabi who was stoned to death for having committed adultery. Q. The Taliban impose a tax on all tankers and trucks carrying goods and passing through the territory they control. Is this tax permissible according to the Shariah? A. The Taliban are in a state of war. They have valid reasons for the taxation. In fact, it is permissible for them in the current circumstances to loot all the stock on the trucks and regard it as spoils of war. This would enable them to pursue the war against the U.S. kuffaar and the Afghan traitors on a better level. Q. The Muftis in Pakistan are giving fatwas of jawaaz (permissibility) for voting in the elections. Is it permissible for Muslims to vote in Pakistan's elections? All the candidates are modernists and zindeeqs A. We have studied the fatwas you have sent. The permissibility is stipulated with many valid conditions. Due to the situation in Pakistan, the fatwas are correct. Although the voting system is not Islamic, in the prevailing chaotic and anti-Islam scenario of Pakistan, the fatwa is valid. Q. What is a Darul Harb? Please explain what is a Darul Harb and a Darul Islam. What would countries such as Saudi Arabia and Pakistan be classified? A. The definitions of the terms is contentious and variegated. Ulama have given different meanings to these terms. Countries like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, in fact every Muslim country today, are neither Darul Harb nor Darul Islam. We describe these countries as Darul Kufr. Every government of every Muslim country without exception is a kaafir regime. The vast majority of the Muslim inhabitants are kuffaar of the Zindeeq class. Darul Harb is the opposite of Darul Islam. But no where on earth today is there Darul Islam. There is no Darul Islam at war with any Kuffaar state, hence in the technical sense of the Shariah, there is no Darul Harb today. Denmark has recently joined several other European states in banning the public donning of the Niqaab. The first requisite of Hijaab is for Muslim women to remain at home. However, in flagrant violation of Allah's commands, Muslim women consider the niqaab to be a licence to prowl around in the public domain. They labour under the satanic misconception that as long as they wear niqaab, they are free to drive, visit malls and generally prowl in public places. Since Muslims themselves are flagrantly violating the Shariah's laws of Hijaab, Allah Ta'ala caused the ban in these kuffaar countries to be enacted. The intentions of most niqaab-wearing women are corrupt. They are not genuine women of Purdah, hence prowl and wander in public places. The banning of the niqaab is a punishment from Allah Ta'ala for these women who refuse to remain at home.
