A Zakaat-payer deposited R3,500 in my banking account. He has entrusted me with the task of distributing his Zakaat. The bank deducted R150 fees. Who has to pay the R150?
Answer
The Zakaat-payer who had deposited the R3,500 Zakaat into your account has to pay the R150 bank fee. If he does not, the Zakaat on R150 will remain unfulfilled. It is not your obligation to pay the R150.
