Is Zakaat payable on investment property or on only the rental?
Answer
Zakaat is not payable on investment property nor on the rental. Zakaat is payable only on cash one has at the end of one's Zakaat year. Zakaat is not paid on investment property nor on the rental which has been used up prior to the ending of one's Zakaat year.
