Answer

If circumstances compel you to put on a brief, and if you wear it for 12 hours or more, the penalty is either a Dumm (an animal) or 6 Fitrah amounts (i.e. a total of R120 ,i.e. 6 X R20, or to fast three consecutive days. When giving the money to the poor, each one should be given the full R20.

If you wear the brief for less than 12 hours, the penalty is the Sadqah Fitr amount or to fast three days.
