In Islam how is a marriage consummated?
Answer
Consummation of the marriage is effected in one of two ways: (a) Sexual relations (b) Such privacy in which it is possible for sexual relations to take place. Even if relations do not take place, then too such privacy will fulfil the requisite of consummation.
