If a relative dies in another city, is it necessary to attend his funeral?
Answer
It is not a requirement of the Shariah to attend the funeral in another city. There is no need to waste time and money to undertake a journey to attend a Janaazah. Perform acts of Isaal-e-thawaab from wherever you are.
