Is it Sunnah to make a Qur'aan Khatam for a deceased family member?
Answer
The customary forms of Qur'aan khatams are bid'ah and not permissible. Recite the Qur'aan as much as you wish in privacy and ask Allah Ta'ala to bestow the reward to the mayyit.
