A ghair muqallid says that Zakaat on a specific sum has to be paid only once, e.g. if Zakaat is paid on R100,000, then the next year Zakaat is not paid on the same money according to the Maaliki Math-hab. Is this correct?
Answer
It is incorrect to claim that according to the Maaliki or any other Math-hab, Zakaat has to be paid only once. When Zakaat is Waajib, then it has to be paid every year according to all Math-habs.
