Question
I was told that after paying Zakaat on a sum of money, e.g. R100,000, Zakaat will not be payable on this money again. Minus the Zakaat of R2,500, the balance of R97,500 is no more Zakaatable. Is this correct?
Answer
It is Fardh to pay Zakaat on all Zakaat assets every year, not only once. You have been grievously misinformed.
