It is not Fardh nor Waajib nor Sunnat to go from house to house to greet family members when about to proceed for Hajj. This is a mere custom which is practised for show. However, if you are not on good terms with anyone, then restore good ties. It is not necessary to go to the person's house. Telephonic conversation will suffice.
