In our Mosques here in Malaysia, after Taraaweeh there is Halqah Thikr. Is this form of thikr Suynnat?
Answer
The halqah thikr sessions after Taraaweeh in the Musaajid are bid'ah. It is not permissible to participate in such practices. In fact Hadhrat Abdulklah Ibn Mas'ood (radhiyallahu anhu) expelled from the Musjid a group who was indulging in this type of halqah thikr. He branded them Bid'atis.
