Is Zakaat due on the wealth of minors? A minor inherits a million rand. A Maulana says that Zakaat is not due on this wealth.
Answer
According to the Hanafi Math-hab, Zakaat is not Waajib on a minor regardless of his wealth. According to the Shaafi Math-hab, Zakaat is payable on the wealth of even a minor.
