Question

Please assist. I'm currently in a conundrum regarding the death of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. According to the pictures we see of him, he didn't have a Sunnah Beard and he dressed like how the Kuffar dress. According to the Hadith, if a person praises a faasiq the Arsh of Allah Ta'ala trembles. On the other hand, he sacrificed for the Ummah and we hear that almost 20 of his family members were killed since October the 7th. Please shed some light on this issue.

Answer

Your conundrum is due to ignorance. The Hamas leader was a zindeeq, a faasiq and an anti-Shariah man. With the Shiahs he was a bird of the feather, hence a Shiah performed his janaazah namaaz. Numerous family members of even the Yahood and Christians get killed. That 20 members of his family were killed does not alter any issue of the Shariah.

Contrary to having sacrificed for the Ummah, he laboured and struggled against the Deen. He abolished the Shariah in Gazza. He was in the same class as all the other kuffaar/murtad governments, rulers, kings, etc. in Muslim countries. Fighting the Jews is not the criterion of the Shariah/Haqq. Hitler too fought and killed the Jews. That does not mean that he was on the Haq.
