Question
In recent years most madaris in India are celebrating independence day on 15th August, hoisting flags, taking out parades in madrasah campus. Also, mostly all Asatizah keep the Indian national flag on their whatsapp social media profiles and status. What to say of laymen who are taking out flags on their houses, offices, vehicles, painting faces with flag colours! All these seem a timid and desperate attempt to seek the approval of Hindu majority population. Is there scope in Islam for such acts and attitudes?

Undoubtedly, all of this haraam bootlicking the Hindu idol and cow worshippers is akin to kufr. Since the hearts of Muslims are bereft of khauf (fear) for Allah Ta'ala, the vacuum in their hearts has become filled with fear for the Hindu mushrikeen shadows, and this fear has been cast into their hearts by Allah Ta'ala. It is the effect of gross treachery and disobedience.
Since Muslims have largely abandoned Islam, they are being punished by Allah Ta'ala. He has inflicted humiliation on Muslims. According to the Hadith, when Muslims become ghutha (rubbish), then Allah Ta'ala takes out fear for Muslims from the hearts of the kuffaar, and fear for kuffaar is cast into the hearts of Muslims, hence all this haraam bootlicking. The only way of reversing this despicable and humiliating status of Muslims is to renew the Pledge of Obedience, resort to Taubah and submit fully to the Shariah and the Sunnah.
