In a message during 2020, the Taliban Amir, Hibatullah Akhunzada said: "The objectives of the Jihad are to gain the pleasure of Allah, freedom of our country and to establish an Islamic system." Time and again it was claimed that the Taliban would be establishing an Islamic government. Have they honoured their pledge?
Answer
The Taliban have become like the Bani Israaeel of bygone times. They were notorious for violating their Pledges made with Allah Ta'ala. The Qur'aan repeatedly reminds them of their treason. Today the Taliban too are emulating the Bani Israaeel. Instead of honouring their Pledge, they have become the bootlickers of the kuffaar. They have shifted their reliance to the kuffaar powers for even some wheat. The issue of establishing an Islamic State was a dream and a hallucination.
