An intoxicated man uttered Talaaq to his wife. Is the Talaaq valid?
Answer
Talaaq issued in the state of intoxication is valid. The man is not rewarded for being in the state of intoxication. On the contrary, he is punished. He has therefore to bear the punishment of the divorce being effective. It is the same if he kills a person during the state of intoxication. He will be held liable for his crime.
