A man married a divorced woman before expiry of her Iddat. What is the ruling of the Shariah? A year later this fact was brought to the notice of the couple. A child was born from this marriage. Is the child legitimate?
Answer
The nikah is faasid. It has to be renewed. The child will be legitimate.
