Is it correct that for Shaafis it is not Waajib for every person to make Qur’baani? The father can make Qur’baani of one animal on behalf of the whole family.
Answer
For Shaafis it is Sunnatul Muakkadah. Yes, one animal as mentioned by you will suffice for followers of the Shaafi Math-hab although it is advisable and meritorious that everyone makes his/her own Qur’baani.
