Question
The divorced woman did not stay in the Iddat home. She did not observe any of the rules of Iddat. She later married. Is the marriage valid?
Answer
It is Waajib for the woman to remain at home during her Iddat. Nevertheless, if she did not observe the rules of Iddat, then whilst she is guilty of a major sin, her Nikah will be valid. If she marries after the Iddat period, the Nikah will be valid.
