Is Zakaat payable on gold jewellery which a woman uses?
Answer
According to the Hanafi Math-hab which we follow, Zakaat is payable on the gold jewellery of a woman even if for personal use. According to the Shaafi' Math-hab, Zakaat will not be compulsory on gold jewellery for personal use.
