I suspect that my husband is cheating on me. Can I hire a private investigator with my own money to watch him?
Answer
No, never is it permissible to hire a private investigator to spy on your husband. You will be inviting the Curse of Allah Ta'ala. If you suspect your husband of wrong doing, make dua for his reformation.
If your husband is thinking of marrying another woman, it will not be 'cheating' on you. It is permissible for him to marry again. However, if he is committing haraam, then he will be cheating on Allah Ta'ala, not on you. For his haraam, Allah Ta'ala will take him to task severely.
