The daughter was having an adulteress affair with her stepfather. After the wife (her mother) discovered this evil, she separated herself and the husband also issued Talaaq. Now the daughter and the stepfather have decided to marry. They have even invited relatives to the nikah. The ex-wife asks if it will be breaking family ties by boycotting the marriage.
Answer
How can it be breaking family ties with a person who has become a murtad/kaafir? The Qur'aan commands that ties with murtads should be broken. If the daughter believes that it is permissible for her to marry her mother's ex-husband, then she has lost her Imaan. She has then become a murtad.
The marriage will simply not be valid. Unless the scoundrel rubbish person who performs such a baatil nikah happens to be one of those scum who performs gay and same sex marriages, no Muslim Imaam/Maulana/Sheikh will ever perform a haraam/baatil marriage. Whoever attends such a nikah knowing the facts, will also become murtad.
