My husband does not allow me to visit my parents. Is it not my right to visit them once a week?
Answer
If your husband has no valid reason for prohibiting you, then he is committing zulm and will be punished by Allah Ta‟ala. Nevertheless, it remains incumbent for the wife to obey her husband. If she insists on her rights, the marriage could end in Talaaq. Thus, you have to decide whether Talaaq or Sabr is better.
