Question
If the Imaam of the Musjid or an Ustaadh goes for Nafl Hajj or Umrah will it be permissible for the trustees to pay his salary?
Answer
The employee is not entitled to salary whilst he is away performing Hajj, even if it is his Fardh Hajj. The trustees will be committing khiyaanat if they pay him from the trust funds. If they are desirous of paying him, it should be from their pockets, not from the trust funds.
