A house was given to a woman by her husband. He said that she may live in the house as long as she is alive. After her death, the house will be for his heirs. What is the ruling of the Shariah?
Answer
The house is a gift to her. The stipulated condition has no validity. After her death, the house will belong to her heirs, not her husband‟s heirs.
