In this regard, the kitaabs of Allaamah Abdul Wahhaab Sha'raani (Rahmatullah alayh) are of great benefit, especially his kitaab Tambeehul Mughtarreen (Admonition For the Neglectful). The kitaab is available in English. Reduce association with people. Guard the eyes and the tongue. Most spiritual pollution which contaminates the heart enters via these two channels. Suppress anger. Try to understand that you are the most contemptible person. Every night, for a few minutes, sit in seclusion and meditate on Maut and the Qabr.
