I am heavily in debt. A friend wants me to accompany him for Hajj. He will pay all expenses. Is it permissible for me to go for Hajj in these circumstances?
Answer
Yes, it is permissible. However, do explain the circumstances to your creditors. If they are unaware, they will be under the impression that you are a miserable scoundrel for squandering a large sum of money while not paying your debts.
