A woman was raped. Whose responsibility is the child? Who has to maintain it? Is the child legitimate or not?
Answer
The mother will be responsible for the child. If she is by the means, she has to provide the maintenance. If she is not by the means, then her closest male relatives are responsible. The child is illegitimate.
