Question
I have been told that as long as I have Qadha fasts, the fast of the current Ramadhaan will not be valid. What should I now do? Do I have to make niyyat of Qadha during this Ramadhaan?
Answer
While one should always keep the Qadha fasts before the new Ramadhaan, the fasts of the current Ramadhaan will be valid even if the Qadha has not yet been made. You have been wrongly informed. During Ramadhaan only the fasts of the current Ramadhaan are valid.
