My husband wrote 3 Talaaqs for me. After issuing the written Talaaq, he tore up the paper. What is the state of our Nikah?
Answer
The three Talaaqs which your husband had written are valid and final regardless of him having torn or burnt the paper. Your Nikah had ended the very moment he wrote the three Talaaqs, and your Iddat had commenced at the same time. It is not permissible for you to return to him. Reconciliation is now no longer possible nor permissible.
