Some of the heirs occupy the house of the deceased. What is the procedure in this regard?
Answer
Whoever occupies the house should pay the rent from the day of the demise of the mayyit. From this day, the benefit of the house for which rent has to be paid, is for all the heirs. The heirs of their own will obviously allow their mother and others to live rent-free in the house.
