Question

A man had kept kafan for his burial. He had directed that the specific kafan should be used when he dies. However, the heirs did not fulfil his wasiyyat. What should be done with the kafan?

The remaining kafan cloth form part of the mayyit's estate. It belongs to all the heirs in proportion to their Miraath (Inheritance) shares. They may sell it and divide the money among themselves or one of them may buy it. The money could then be divided.
