Question
I am a regular visitor to the cemetery, especially on Fridays. I recite some Surahs and make dua for the deceased. An Aalim told me that it is not permissible to visit the cemetery and recite Qur'aan. Is it bid'ah?
Answer
The fellow is not an Aalim. He is a Salafi jaahil. Continue visiting the Qabrustaan, especially on Fridays, and recite the Qur'aan and make dua for the deceased and for yourself. Ignore the drivel which the ignoramus tells you.
