My husband mentally, spiritually and physically abuses me. Although the woman provokes the husband by not always being 100% subservient to his mother, and also they met and got married on haraam terms. With no barakah of the Sunnah. But for the past 1 year the woman has been observing hijaab including the niqaab trying to be a better Muslim but the husband shows no inclination for improvement. He also physically abuses the wife, leaving marks on her body. He speaks horribly to her and also drowns him self in music and continues to keep himself in the company of the kuffaar. Do I have grounds for Talaaq?
Answer
In the circumstances, you should apply to the local Ulama organization for annulment of the marriage. They will then institute a Hearing to resolve the issue.
