Is Zakaat payable on a golden ring studded with diamonds / rubies?
Answer
Zakaat is not payable on precious stones. If the gold is 12 ct and above, then Zakaat is payable on its value – the value of the gold. Only if precious stone are stock-in -trade will Zakaat be payable.
