Question
A lady who passed away has 2 sons and 2 daughters, no husband and no parents. She left behind only clothing. The children wish to share the clothing to keep in remembrance of their mother. How should the clothing and some other items be shared by them?
Answer
Since they wish to retain their mother's clothing, all of it should be made up into lots of more or less of equal value. Six lots should be made. Each lot should be given a number, and six tickets should be made. Each ticket will have a number. All the tickets should be mixed. Then each son should draw two tickets and each daughter one ticket. The lots will belong to those holding the corresponding numbers.
