Question
A person does not have the Zakaat Nisaab. Can we give him Zakaat for an air ticket to attend his daughter's wedding in Pakistan, and also to contribute to the wedding cost?
Answer
It is not permissible to give the person Zakaat for the airfare to travel merely for a wedding. He must remain where he is and make dua for his daughter.It is not permissible to use Zakaat for wedding costs. In Pakistan weddings entail some of the worst haraam and evil activities.
