I shall, Insha-Allah, be going for Umrah. For one flying from South Africa to Jeddah, where should he don Ihraam?
Answer
If you are flying from South Africa to Jeddah and from there proceeding to Makkah, then Ihraam must be donned in Jeddah. It is permissible and preferable to don Ihraam even from one's home or at any point before Jeddah. But Jeddah is the very last point where donning Ihraam is compulsory for those proceeding to Makkah.
