Question
A convert Muslim who has died has absolutely no Muslim heirs. What happens to her estate?
Answer
Since the lady has absolutely no Muslim heirs, according to the Shariah all her assets have to go to the Baitul Maal. However, since there is no Islamic State with a Shar'i Baitul Maal, she has to bequeath all her assets to Islamic charity.
