Question
If a sheep is slaughtered to fulfil one's Qadha Qur'baani, the meat has to be given to only the poor. Who are the poor in this context?
Answer
Poor in this context refers to the Fuqara and Masaakeen – those who have food perhaps for only a day. There are innumerable people who technically qualify to accept Zakaat despite their comfortable material life. The meat may not be given to them.
