I embraced Islam a few years ago and was separated from my non-Muslim husband who did not convert to Islam. Our legal divorce has not yet been granted by the court. Can I marry before the legal divorce?
Answer
You need not wait for the legal 'divorce'. You are free to enter into Nikah (Marriage) Islamically even whilst the legal 'divorce' has not taken place.
