What is khula', and is this a right of the wife?
Answer
Khula' is an agreement between husband and wife by which the wife pays her husband a sum of money in exchange for Talaaq. It is not a right of the wife. Khula' is a mutual agreement. It cannot be imposed on any of the parties.
