What is the Shariah's view on the issue of reciting Yaaseen khatam for the deceased?

Reciting any portion of the

Qur'aan Majeed as an act of thawaab for the amwaat (the deceased) is very beneficial. Reciting Surah Ikhlaas thrice and asking Allah Ta'ala to bestow the thawaab to the mayyit, is a wonderful gift for the deceased. However, the custom of reciting specifically Yaaseen in congregational form is bid'ah.
