At the time of the Nikah ceremony, should the bridegroom, when accepting the proposal, also recite Ta-awwuz, Tasmiyah, the Kalimah and Durood?
Answer
The bridegroom should only state the Qubool whether in Arabic, English or any language. He does not have to recite Ta-awwuz, Tasmiyah, Kalimah and Durood. This is a bid'ah practice.
