Question
Some people plant a tree or flowers on the graves. Is it Sunnat to do so?
Answer
It is not Sunnah to plant anything on the Qabr. However, where this is not considered a necessary practice, one may plant anything on the Qabr. If it is considered necessary, then it will be bid'ah and not permissible.
