I have read an article which cites Ahaadith to prove that Qur'baani of only the head in the house suffices for the entire family. Is this correct?
Answer
According to the Shaafi' Math-hab, it is correct, but not for Hanafis.
It is not valid according to Hanafi Fuqaha. The Hanafi position is exactly as the Hanafi have explained it and continue explaining it every year. Qur'baani is Waajib on every adult who has Zakaat Nisaab amount during the Days of Qur'baani.
