THE TRUE EXTENT OF EFFECTS OF RESISTANCE ON ISRAELI ARMY IS EMERGING
Throughout its two months of present attacks on Gaza, the Israeli government has been tight-lipped about the extent of army casualties sustained, and extreme censorship has been exercised in this regard.
Now, according to a report by the Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth, it is suggested:
🔻 Over 5,000 Israeli soldiers have been injured since the beginning of the war on Gaza.
🔻 2000 Israeli soldiers are officially recognised by Israel’s Ministry of Defence as being rendered *disabled* in the fighting
🔻 “We have never experienced anything similar to this. More than 58% of the wounded we receive have serious injuries to their hands and feet, including amputations,” Limor Luria, deputy director general and head of Israel’s Ministry of Defence’s Rehabilitation Department, told Yedioth Ahronoth.
🔻About 12% of the Israeli soldier injuries are internal consisting of damage to the spleen, kidneys, and rupture of internal organs
🔻About 7% of Israeli soldiers suffer from psychological distress, a number expected to be much higher
🔻On Wednesday, the Israeli army also announced that at least 100 soldiers had gone fully or partially blind due to explosions and flying shrapnel, which inflicted them in fighting in Gaza
