FROM THE MALFOOZAAT OF HAKEEMUL UMMAT MOULANA ASHRAF ALI THANWI RAHIMAHULLAH Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam said: “LAA ADWAA – There is no contagion.” “A sick person does not infect a healthy person.” The following two Malfoozaat of Moulana Thanwi Rahimahullah are undoubtedly very pertinent to current times. Many people treat sins lightly, but when it comes to the issue of contagion, then they dwell in self-deception because of their atheistic, irrational, false, baseless and superstitious belief that diseases are contagious. DISEASE IS NOT CONTAGIOUS! “Disease is not contagious. But, in fact, just like how Allah Ta’ala bestows illness to the first person, in the same way with His own, independent Tasarruf (Command), He makes the second person sick. By mixing and interacting with people, an illness does not infect others. After Salaat, Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam stated that what is the condition of people that they come for Salaat without performing Wudhu properly which causes the Imaam to commit an error in Salaat! From this we learn that the effect of the sin of the sinner reaches (influences / affects) also the one who did not commit that sin.” [Kamaalaat-e-Ashrafiyyah – Malfoozaat Hakeemul Ummat – Page 79] ALHAMDULILLAH!
